"What about Aaron?" I ask, narrowing my eyes at my mother.

I watch as she nervously shuffles side to side with a strained smile spread across her face.

"W-well uh I don't think it appropriate to talk about this here in front of all these random people." She muttered quietly but I'm sure everyone heard her.

"Random people? These people are my family. Whatever you have to say you can say in front of them." I seethe.

She rolled her eyes then scoffed, "well I don't feel comfortable talking about my baby Aaron with these peo-

"Well then get the fuck out." I raise my voice slightly.

I feel Shawn grab my hand and slowly rub his thumb back and forth along my wrist, which calms me a little.

"Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?." She seethed.

I let out a sigh then stare at her with an expression of high annoyance.

"If you ain't gone say what you had to say about Aaron then begone."

I turned away from her and started lowering my body down to the bed when she said something that stopped me in my tracks.

"I was trying to tell you is that they found Aaron's killer." She said.

I slowly turn my head toward her, scanning her face to see if she was being forreal or not.

I busted out laughing when I realized that she was being 100% serious.

Fucking liar...

I was laughing so hard that my stomach started cramping up and my head started pounding.

Lies lies lies lies!

I can feel the tension in the room. It was completely silent except for my obnoxious laughter filling the room.

Everyone in the room was probably shocked by what they heard and was also trying to figure out why I was laughing like a hyena.

"Princess...."

"What the fuck is so funny?" My mother yells, but I couldn't stop laughing long enough to answer her.

After a whole two minutes of me laughing hysterically, I finally stopped and wipe the tears that were running down my face.

"Oh, you're finally done." She scoffed.

"So who told you that they found Aaron's killer?" I asked.

"What do you mean? That detective guy obviously."

She's a fucking liar.

"Detective Parris?! Really?! That's funny seeing as all of MY contact information is on file along with MY home address so if anything new or important pops up regarding Aaron's case, he would contact me first." I smirked.

She frowned, "what are you talking about? Why would you find out before me? I'm his mother."

"Well let me put it like this. When your not shit mother gets so drunk that she can't do shit like, pay her bills and answer her phone, you end up having to handle shit on your own, which I was doing but now you're on your own."

"Wait.... w-what?" She stuttered.

"I'm tired of your shit Diana, I don't want anything to do with you because ur a horrible mother, and you don't care about me. Your true color really jumped out when Aaron died and I don't want any of that negativity around me, so once again....get out." I finished.
