bem pensado; well thought out
"What!? She can't have feelings for Damon. He's... Damon. And you're you, and I'm... revolted. You know, I'm gonna talk to her. I'm going to shake some sense into her clearly diseased brain," Caroline said over the phone talking to Stefan. "You can't talk someone out of feelings," I mumbled. She stepped on my foot making me hiss so I left.
Gawd, I hate these things.
I saw Elena walking towards us and she gave me and Caroline a weary smile. I nodded to her and moved on with the job that was forced on me by Caroline. Can't expect anything else from Miss Mystic Falls herself. Everything has to be perfect, she said. Fuck perfect.
After the last time, Caroline made me do the pageant or contest... whatever it is-- I hated it. Don't get me wrong I loved the puffy dress and feeling all pretty but why should there be a contest for that. The only reason I made runner up was that I asked them to pick Caroline instead but she could never know that. The things we do for those repulsive idiots that are supposed family.
Not even a minute later Carolien was grilling Elena about her relationships.
"Look, I'm your best friend and I would never pick sides--"
"But she's going to pick sides," I interrupted Caroline. "But... are you sure that this is what you want because Stefan is your soulmate. Sorry. Picking sides," Caroline said. "It's not like I don't love Stefan anymore, but I can't deny that ever since I turned, my feelings for Damon have become more intense," Elena said.
"Yeah, I know. Stefan filled me in on all the gory Damon details," Caroline said slightly upset. "He did? Is he okay," Elena asked. "No. Would you have been? He's heartbroken," I said. "Well, what was I supposed to do? Lie to him," Elena asked. "No. But you weren't supposed to let Damon weasel his way into your confused newbie vampire heart," Caroline fussed.
"Well, he did, and that's exactly what I am-- confused. I need to figure out what these feelings actually mean," Elena explained. "Excuse me. I'm a little lost. I'm here to interview contestants," Shane says as he made his way over to us at the small high table.
"You're Professor Shane," Elena asked with a small smile. "Yeah, that's right-- professor by day--"
"Please don't," I stopped him shaking my head with a hand up to stop him. "In spite of being absurdly unqualified, I'm apparently awarding a scholarship," Shane continued. "Inside by the parlor," Elena informed me. "Alright I'll just follow the scent of hair spray and world domination," Shane joked walking away.
I was not going to let him being here let my suspicions or our other relations be known.
"He's the one who told Damon how to break the hunter's curse," Elena said. "He's also the one that has Bonnie so obsessed with practicing magic that she bailed on pageant prep," Caroline said with raising eyebrows. "Are you sure that's the only reason," I mumbled. Caroline kicked me under the table once again.
"And now he's judging Miss Mystic Falls. Jack of all trades or kind of creepy," Elena asked, suspicious of Shane. "Jack of ALL trades," I said.
<~>
"Woah, Woah, Stop! Those flowers go in the back as indicated by the floral chart that we all had plenty of time to memorize. Yeah. Thank you," I instructed three young girls steadily. "Now, how did I know I'd find you at the end of this ship," Klaus asked, wearing that smirk that makes all the girls come running, I bet.
