plano para o sul; plan down south

"Klaus, it's a bit too early to be painting," I groaned. "Yes, well, the morning sun offers the best light. Shhh. Now, Go back to sleep. I'm almost finished," he said focusing on the canvas. "What are you doing," I asked, attempting to get up and walk towards him. I was basically waddling. I stepped away from the canvas and stopped me mid-way there. "Go back to bed," he said.

"Why can't I see? Move out of the way," I tried to push past him. It was hard to do that when I was holding a sheet around me covering me from complete nakedness. I felt more comfortable sleeping naked than I did when I wasn't pregnant. I don't know why.

Klaus set his pants down and kissed me. I immediately got caught up by the kiss which allowed him and lay me back into bed carefully. When he pulled away I pouted. He chuckled and went back to painting.

"Are you painting me naked? Now, what would you do with that painting," I asked running my hands through my messy hair. "Absolutely nothing. My view only," he gleamed. I chuckled. He did a couple more strokes to the canvas and held a light-focused smile. Watching him paint always did wonders to me. When he painted he seemed so peacefully frustrated. If that makes sense.

While he was concentrated I carefully slid out of bed and went towards him. Once I made my way to the painting he glanced at me so innocently it made my heart flutter. He watched me and my silk sheet as I made my way in front of the painting. Once I did, I gasped. I thought it was to be some exotic painting of a nude but it wasn't. It was a pregnancy painting.

It was me standing with the exact same sheet around me holding my big baby bump. Meanwhile, my hair was super long and seemed to be flowing in the wind. I was looking somewhere on the horizon of a green forest and mystical fog. My hair and skin almost blended in with the foggy ground. This reminded me of Mother Nature. I sighed.

"I need to strike a deal with the Quarter Witches to insure this treaty stays on the right side," Klaus said massaging my back as I admired the painting. He was just talking about whatever while I was basically coming to tears. I just hummed as if I were listening.

"Wait. What? Are you talking about Genevieve? No, no, no, no. Did I mention, no," I stressed. "Princess--"

"No. Don't "Princess" me. Did you just paint this to get me to agree with you? How manipulative? I don't know whether to be mad or to admire that--"

I was interrupted when Klaus suddenly took his hand and gently pushed my hair behind my ear. He then quickly and roughly grabbed the side of my head and pulled me in closer to him. Then he just kissed my forehead and left. "What the actual frackin' fuck," I whispered in disbelief.

I waddled to the bed trying not to trip over the sheet. Back to sleep, it is.

After I was newly refreshed from sleeping and taking a shower I headed to the Bayou. I've been spending a lot more time over there to figure out that conversation with Klaus, Jackson, and Carlos. Now, I would ask Carlos but he's always gone, doing something.

When I got there, there were a bunch of wolves just lurking around. "Why are they out here all weird and lurky," I asked. "They've come from all over. All the packs," Eve said. "Why? To use a baby that isn't even born yet," Hayley asked. "Forget the baby. These freaks came to see you. You know, given the place your parents held the pack hierarchy, maybe they think you're gonna be the long-lost werewolf messiah or something," Oliver explained.

"Ohh. Thought I was going to have to care or something," I sighed in relief. "Great. No pressure or anything," Hayley said. Oliver turned away from us and took a phone call. I listened in but he walked too far and my werewolf side was on and off these days.

So near the end of the conversation, I walked up to Oliver. "Who ya talking to there, Ollie," I asked innocently. "Nobody," he dismissed and walked away. I huffed since I was in no mood to chase after anybody. I stomped back to Hayley and Eve when Elijah suddenly showed up. He was talking to Hayley, Jackson, and Oliver.

"...Which is why it's important for the wolves to attend," Elijah said. "Thanks but no thanks," Hayley smiled awkwardly. "What's going on," I asked. "The witches are having some party and are inviting the wolves to attend," Hayley explained. "The witches as in.."

"Yes," she said. "Hell no."

"Let's hear the man out," Oliver said. "The witches are the ones that cursed your pack and they've been nothing but crap to me and Cam since we first came to town. No. We're not going," Hayley said. "And that bitch Genevieve is a bitch. And the worst thing is that she's a bitch behind your back. Don't mean to sound petty but no," I finalized.

"It's a new day in the quarter, Hayley. I agree with Oliver. If we're going to coexist we have to play ball. We'll send a representative. With a gift," Jackson said. Hayley and I shared looks and walked away.

Once we were farther enough Elijah sped up to us. "That was too easy. Don't trust them. Don't trust any of them," Elijah said then he left. We walked back to the cabin and relaxed for a little. Around this time of the pregnancy, walking wasn't much fun.

I heard voices outside the cabin and went to inspect. When I exited I saw Olver and Jackson talking and when they saw me they stopped. "What is this middle school," I asked. "Why don't you take the hint and mind your own business," Oliver tried to walk past me but I grabbed his arm and pinched his back pinning him to the wall.

"I'm tired of your bitchiness. If I wanna make something my business, I can. Now, I've tried to play nice. The last month of pregnancy is all hormones and mood swings so unless you want me to snap your arm like a twig, I suggest that you tell what is going on," I said squeezing tighter.

"You Can go to hell."

"Knock it off. There's no reason to keep it from her," Jackson said. "I can think of a reason. Tall and immortal and is half-wolf," Oliver said and I pinched him harder. I used to do this all the time with Tyler, Jeremy, and Matt.

Hayley came out hearing the ruckus. "Cameron, you're one of us. You both deserve to know. Now, c'mon," Jackson said and I let him go roughly. "We made an alliance... that's gonna change everything for the wolves."

"An alliance with who," Hayley asked. "Klaus," Jackson and I said at the same time. "Tell me everything," I demanded.

In order to protest Elijah and Klaus wanting me to stay home instead of going to the Fete des benediction. As the festival started I heard cheers from outside. Since I had to compound completely to myself I changed into more comfortable clothes that consist of a t-shirt and short shorts.

"What are you doing here," a voice scared me, causing me to jump. "Klaus. I could ask you the same question," I said in some sort of relief. "What do you mean," he asked. "Well, for starters, what are you doing making deals with wolves? And why are you here instead of at the festival," I asked.

"My business with the wolves is for you. If this alliance and treaty Elijah has is going sideways-- which it will- I need to make sure you won't come into harm and I have alliances to protect you and the baby," Klaus explained. "What does my brother have to do with it? And why did you have to keep it from me," I asked.

"Believe it or not your brother is very resourceful," Klaus chuckled. "Why'd you keep it from me," I asked again. He sighed. "I didn't want you in it. I still don't so don't put yourself in it. It would be good if you stayed away from the Bayou for a while, at least until the baby is born," Klaus said. "But what if I don't want to."

"I'm not giving you very much choice in the matter. Wait here," he said and he went into the hall. I did think to follow after him so I just sat down on the bed. Moments later he came back a bit alarmed. "Stay here and don't leave or let anybody in," that he left. I turned around and carefully placed myself into bed. We are such a hot and cold relationship, I thought.

By the time Klaus came back that night I had already fallen asleep. He reeked of alcohol and he just got into bed and held me. By the strength of his grip, I could tell he was upset. Meaning whatever plan he had probably gone south.
