Chapter 19: Charlotte Is The....... JOKER??!!

Done completing a minor mission, Charlotte rest for a moment on a dark desolated place in their school

Closing her eyes, a memory sudden appear in her view

It's her past life

A small girl sitting motionless in a stair looking at the window with longing as she look at the children in her age smiling and play with their family

A sigh escape from her lips, as she open her blurry eyes, Syn told her that the countdown of the Disguise will begin

Thinking that nobody would come here, she relax her guard and playfully twirl her Joker card in her index

A very familiar voice ask as that person was stumble on a floor together with the flashlight

Charlotte can see things in the dark as long as it close to her in 5 meters so seeing the person face, she's been silent and not plan on talking to not expose herself

Despite being annoyed at her bad luck, she's more nervous and panic

The Heroine, Eline though that she might just bump something and not a person so she leave it behind

Patting her dusted skirt, Eline was going to bend down to grab her flashlight but was paused when she heard Adam apathetic tone

Seeing that the first capture target is also here, Charlotte wanted to cry so badly

The two voice collide and only Eline question can be heard as she shout in surprise when she saw Charlotte infront of her when she just grab her flashlight

Adam frozen in his spot for a very long time while gazing at the pale-looking Charlotte

Eline also noticed her attire and ask
"Charlotte, what's with your attire? Are you cosplaying?"

Charlotte didn't reply and was looking blankly at Adam's direction

Confuse, Eline look at Adam and saw him holding something like card in his hand tightly

Focusing her gaze, she was dumbfounded and was stuttered

" tha - that's a Joker card! Why why is it here?"

Adam didn't answer at her question but look attentively at Charlotte

Eventhough she had a blank expression in her, there's actually a anxiety deep in it which now confirm his doubt

Eline on the other hand also found this suspicious and Adam look gives to Charlotte makes her suspicious more so she muled over in her head

A minutes later, she shriek in surprise at her conjecture and shakily pointed her finger towards Charlotte and said in disbelief

"Charlotte you-you......."

Didn't let her finish, Adam confirm her

"She's the Joker"

Not only Eline, Charlotte had also feel something booming in her head added with a heavy headache

Charlotte who've been struggling to keep conscious wanted to curse the system for the very first time

Which heard Adam and ended him having a rage expression
