See you in ten days

Sasuke found the hideout where Itachi was waiting for Sasuke. His team wasn't allowed inside, only Sasuke, so Sasuke told his team to stay put while he finished off his brother once and for all. 

The brawl lasted some time between the two brothers, and by the end of the fight-Sasuke had won. 

Itachi gave Sasuke one last tap to the forehead before collapsing on the ground dead. 

Sasuke stood there in shock, horrified from the fight, and slowly down at his brother. "I...did it..." 

Sasuke falls to the ground and collapses in exhaustion from the fight. He finally killed his brother, Itachi Uchiha.

Naruto and the others ran to the scene to see no bodies there, and immediately Naruto looked everywhere for Sasuke or Itachi. 

But the only thing there was their blood. 

"No, no, no, no, no!" Naruto fell to the ground. "We was so close!" 

Everyone sighed while Sakura squatted down next to Naruto. She smiled. "Don't give up yet Naruto, we haven't covered all of the lands yet. We will find him, don't you worry. I'll be here for you till the end." 

Naruto looked at Sakura and returned the smile the best as he could. "Thanks, Sakura-chan."

Naruto and the others was heading back to Konoha when Naruto saw an injured Sasuke dragging Itachi. He couldn't just leave the group to talk to him, so he made a shadow clone to go see Sasuke. Just in case it was a trap. 

Naruto jumped onto his feet behind Sasuke and walked up to him. "Sasuke?" 

Sasuke slowly turned around. "Oh, it's you, Naruto." 

Naruto's body trembled, even as a shadow clone, his reactions were the same. "Y-You're real? Not a genjutsu?" 

"Not a genjutsu." 

"Oh," Naruto looked down at Itachi. "Why are you dragging him?" 

"I'm going to bury him somewhere, I can't have enemies using his body for their own advantage." 

"Uh," Naruto was happy Sasuke got his revenge, but sad at the same time he actually killed his own brother. Although he understood why. Itachi killed their clan. "I'm just a shadow clone, but can I help you bury him?"

Sasuke looked at Naruto for a long period of time and turned away. "What for? It's just a body." 

"I was just asking-" 

"Don't you have to go back?" Sasuke walked away from Naruto, grunting from the weight Itachi's body was putting on him. 

"My real body is heading back." 

"Then poof out of my sight and join him." 

"Sasuke..." 

"Naruto, go back." 

"Are you coming back home?" 

"I don't know, I am a rogue ninja that ran from Konoha to gain power from Orochimaru, so I don't know Naruto." 

Naruto looked down and nodded. "Okay, but if you do think you want to come back. Um...we'll be waiting." 

"And if I don't, then accept my decision." Sasuke stopped walking to look at Naruto. "You have to stop chasing what I can't give you, Naruto. You might as well let my rejection sink in, because I won't return." 

"Ten days." 

"What?" 

Naruto looked up at Sasuke. "If you don't return in ten days, I will accept your conditions and fight you. Even if I have to leave my village to do so." 

"Naruto, I was just-" 

Naruto shook his head. "But I'm not. Ten days is what you have, until then please consider coming back." 

Sasuke looked away. "Whatever, loser." 

"See you later, Sasuke." Naruto said before turning into smoke. 

Sasuke continued to drag Itachi's body and mumbled. "Stupid, I won't return. They won't let me in with open arms, you know that."
