I'm Hokage (Naruto's POV)

Neji and Tenten got married.

Soon after, Hinata and Kiba confessed their relationship, saying that they were hesitant since she didn't know if her family would accept it. But Neji accepted her relationship straight away.

Hinata was happy, but she was in tears when her family accepted the relationship too.

Everything was great.

Until a few years later, I was told that I was going to be Hokage. My dream has come true.

The ceremony was fun. Sasuke held my hand the entire time with a smile, ignoring the apparent judging stares from some people that knew of his rogue days years ago. They were either worried if he'll take advantage of my position as Hokage to take over the Leaf Village―which he won't―or upset that he was beside me the entire time as my significant other.

Regardless of their opinions, I didn't falter or worry about their judgment towards Sasuke. I still have hope that everyone will welcome him with open arms one day. Almost all of them do, but not much.

Though, a smile remained on my face. I was proud to be a Hokage for everyone.

I thought my new life would be effortless and easy.

But the moment I laid my eyes on the piles of paperwork that almost reached the ceiling. I groaned as I sauntered to the swivel chair to plop down in it.

I didn't feel disappointed but worried.

Was I going to make it home on time tonight?

"Alright, Lord Seventh." Shikamaru dumped another stack of folders in front of me on the desk with a sigh. He handed me a pen and gestured to the papers. "Get started with the documents so we can send them off."

"Shikamaru..." I groaned again, resting my chin on a stack of papers in front of me. "I don't want to..." I complained, despite my hand already opening a folder to fill out the paperwork inside.

"I know it's a drag but we have to do it, Lord Seventh," Shikamaru replied.

"I guess I'll have to ask Sasuke to bring me my lunch and dinner here."

"Actually, he already dropped it off saying he had to go join the others to find the hideout."

I smiled softly, picturing Sasuke wearing an apron while cooking the food. His eyebrows furrowed in concentration as his muscles flexed every time he moved his arms. He looked like he truly enjoyed being in the kitchen. He always came up with new recipes for ramen so we could enjoy them every week when we had the time.

He's so perfect for me. I might cry.

But I couldn't cry. I had piles on top of piles of labored work to do as the Hokage.

"Try not to fall asleep," Shikamaru said before exiting the room, closing the door behind him.

"As if I could. Sasuke might scold me." I snorted, remembering Sasuke's constant scolding every time I fell asleep on the job.

He was like a wife that worried about my well-being.

But to me, he was still the perfect husband.

I would rather take on the "wife" role in the marriage since I already imagined myself in that role anyway.

I learned how to cook, clean, and help Sasuke with everything he needed.

I know it sounded worldly from how much I wanted to become an Uchiha, but I couldn't stop thinking about it―not even during the ceremony.

We wanted to get married but Sasuke wanted to wait a bit longer.

He said that he wanted to make sure his life was stable enough for me. He didn't want to repeat history or hurt me again so he promised to love me and cherish me once we tied the knot.

I couldn't wait to feel what Tenten and Neji felt on their wedding day.

Even as the Hokage, I wanted to add another chapter to my life.

Naruto Uchiha.

That had a nice ring to it.

I hope Sasuke won't mind if I boast about our marriage in the future.

I would be too happy not to brag about marrying the most loving person in the world. Sasuke Uchiha.
