Nine-Tailed Fox

It was the fifth day, and Naruto decided to go ask Kakashi-sensei about the Nine-Tails.

He ran past the construction workers, and villagers to find him reading in front of a tent. "Kakashi-sensei!"

Kakashi looked up from his book. "Oh, hey Naruto, what's wrong?"

"I need you to tell me everything about the Nine-Tails!"

Kakashi closes his book and stands up. "I don't know much, but I can try to tell you as much as I can."

Kakashi lead Naruto inside of his tent, which was the meeting place for some of the shinobi.

Naruto sat down across from Kakashi. "Okay, i'm listening."

"Uh...let's see...The Nine-Tails is a Tailed Beast that's been past down in the Uzumaki clan. It was used previously as a tool for war and nothing else. One day, the Tailed Beast was pulled out of a Jinchuriki named Kushina, and rampaged on Konoha-it killed many ninjas and villagers. It is said the person responsible for this is Madara, but he is allegedly dead so there's no need for investigation."

"Anything else?"

"Other than the fact that it was sealed inside of you to save Konoha. Not really."

"Oh right, my dad sealed him inside of me."

"Yeah, Minato-sensei did do that."

"He was your sensei?"

"Yeah, he was. He taught me many things when he was alive. I met his wife, who was also your mom."

"She died too, right?"

"Yes, she did, she died saving Konoha along with your father."

Naruto put his head down. "My dad said something about meeting her soon, but I don't know that'll be."

"As long as I've known your father, he knows when you will, and has no doubt you won't meet her."

"I wonder what she's like."

Kakashi was about to respond but Tsunade opened the tent.

"Ah, Kakashi, there you are. I was looking for you."

Kakashi turned to look at Tsunade. "Lord fifth, is there an issue?"

"The council wants to speak with you." She eyes Naruto. "Naruto, what were you doing talking with Kakashi?"

Naruto stood up. "I was just asking about the Nine-Tails, but I think I have my answer."

Naruto ran out of the tent and to go somewhere private, so he could speak to the fox alone.

"Look, you're back." The fox said sarcastically.

Naruto walked into the cage and stood in front of the fox. "I think I know your hate for humans."

"Kid, you are aware I can kill you right now, right?"

"If you kill me, you die too."

"Hm," the fox looks away. "Talk. What did you find out?"

"You hate humans because they used you for their own advantage, right?"

"Hmph, you did your homework for the first time."

Naruto let his comment slide and ignored it. "And you probably have a name too, right?"

"Like if telling you will change anything."

"If you tell me, i'll change your mind on humans."

"No."

"Come on..." Naruto hops on the fox's shoulder, he stood next to his closed eye.

The fox opens his eye to look are Naruto. "So noisy, go away."

"I want to help you, let me take away that hate you hold inside of you."

The fox stares at Naruto and scoffs. "You want to act like a hero with me too? Fine, i'll play along to see if you actually succeed."

"So...?"

"Kurama. That's my name."

"Okay, Kurama, i'll prove to you that you don't have to hate humans anymore."

"How will you do it?"

"By acknowledging your emotions and feelings, because I know you have a mind of your own."

"You might turn out to be like the others, but we'll see if you impress me enough."

"I'll show you Kurama that you are not just a Tailed Beast, you are Kurama, partner of the citizen of Konoha. You belong here too."

"Until that day comes, I'll be here."

"Okay, Kurama."
