Grandma's advice

"Congratulations Kakashi-sensei." Naruto said, holding his jacket in his hand. He had just returned from a C-ranked mission, and his jacket was returned to him by Sakura a moment ago.

Kakashi sat behind the Hokage desk and nodded. "Thank you, Naruto."

It was the seventh day, and Naruto began to swiftly go back to thinking about Sasuke.

Kurama says his side remarks, Sakura helps him when she can, and Sai just recites a useful quote from a book he read.

But only one person hasn't gave him advice that he might need. Tsunade.

"I have to go catch up to Grandma Tsunade." Naruto says, waving goodbye to Kakashi. "Summon me if you need me."

"Okay Naruto, but rest for a while. You did a good job out there along the others."

Naruto nods and leaves the Hokage office to go after Tsunade. He did not have time for rest. He had three days left until he would leave Konoha to go after Sasuke.

"Grandma Tsunade!" Naruto shouts after Tsunade, who was walking with Tonton in her arms. Shizune walking beside her holding her bag.

Tsunade turned around to face Naruto. "Oh Naruto, hey, what's the matter?"

"Can I get ten minutes of your time before you leave? I need advice."

Tsunade nods and turns to Shizune. "Wait for me."

Shizune nods and walks away.

Tsunade turns back to face Naruto. "Okay, what advice do you need?"

"U-Uh, it's about...Sasuke..."

"The rouge ninja?"

"Yes..."

"Are you going to ask me how to get him back?"

"No...It's about...how to get him to l-love me back and trust me."

Tsunade goes silent for a moment and hums. "That is right, you do love him. I forgot all about that, Hokage work must've clouded my head." she places one hand onto his shoulder, while holding Tonton with the other. "Listen, Sasuke dealt with a harsh realization that his only brother thay he loved and admired was a killer. He needs someone to mend that broken trust inside of him, and to understand that he doesn't want to jump into a relationship right away."

"How can we mend that trust if he's not going to be trusted back into Konoha?"

"Kakashi's the Hokage now, he'll decide Sasuke's punishment for abandoning Konoha. So just relax and wait for Sasuke to return on his own."

"What if he doesn't return back on his own?"

"Then it wasn't meant to be."

Naruto wanted to let the words 'It is meant to be' escape his lips, but he doesn't want to argue about it with her. He only nods and pretends to agree. "Okay, t-thanks."

"Naruto," Tsunade lifts Naruto's chin so he can meet her eyes. "Sasuke is human like us, if he does return back on his own, I bet he thought of you the entire time. The friendship you two made might've gave him a reason to return."

"Yeah...friendship..."

"It's better than being enemies." Tsunade sighs and wraps both arms around Tonton. "If he does come back, you can take him on platonic dates to eat ramen, or train with him if he's allowed to roam around."

"Grandma Tsunade..." Naruto stretched his lips up to form a smile. "Thank you for accepting me, for being different I mean."

"I will always accept you. Love doesn't need to be specific on what genders or people can feel it. It's a strong emotion that brings two individuals together, and that itself is something no one should judge."

"You really are like my own grandma, dattebayo. It's almost like we formed our own family bond."

Tsunade smiles. "We did, I see you as a grandson I can be proud of, although the 'grandma' makes me feel old as hell."

"But you are old as hell, you're-"

"Say my age, I dare you."

Naruto felt shivers down his spine. "I-I nevermind, thank you again. See you again when you visit."

"Anytime," Tsunade leans down to plant a gentle kiss on Naruto's temple. "Grandson."

Tsunade walks away and Naruto feels the spot where Tsunade kissed. "Ew...grandma kiss...why she have to wear so much lipstick?"

"I heard that!"

Naruto flinched. "Gah! I-I meant-" Naruto couldn't find his words and ran off.

Tsunade burst out laughing and shook her head. "What a kid he is."
