The creatures- chapter 2

The scratching began getting louder and louder. They were getting closer. Suddenly there was a loud bang and I heard them scurry off downstairs I breather out a sigh of relief and started bawling my eyes out with happiness.

I wanted to investigate why they ran off, however my more rational side realised that the creatures could return at any moment and that there was no way that I could out run them.

As the hours passed by, I heard screams followed by even more screams. I wanted to run out and help, but it was every one for themselves. My life has taught me to be tough, even as a little girl I would have to look after myself.

I slowly opened one of the cans of food with my knife, after I finished eating I looked around the closet, along with many old clothes. I found a few useful thing which I put into my back pack.

After a few hours of sitting in a space, I realised that I had no idea what time it was.

I picked my phone up from the other side of the closet and pressed the home button.

The phone quickly lit up, and I easily read 23:43 on the top of the screen.

Only then did I realise that I was extremely tired. I decided that it was not likely for the creatures to return quite yet, I picked up my duvet and folded it in half; half of it would lay under me in order to provide me comfort from the carpeted floor. Whilst the other half would cover me and stop me from freezing half to death.

Before I finally fell asleep, I prayed. Prayed for my Mum to be safe in the hospital, for all the people who have died because of the creatures, the families of the dead, my friends and family to stay safe, and finally for me.

Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.

Yes, I know that this chapter was incredibly boring but it was kind of a filler. There will be way more action in the next few chapters.
