Chapter 13

We were now outside of the tower, grouped up in front of Lippo.

"Congratulations on escaping Trick Tower, everyone. All that remain now are the fourth phase and the final phase. The fourth phase will take place right over there on Zevil Island." Lippo points behind him, a small island far from here.

"Now, let's proceed." The examiner snaps his fingers, and a man with a small cart holding a box came through.

"To begin with I will need each of you to draw lots now." Gasps could be heard from the distance.

"Draw lots for what? What will that decide?" Some dude if I remember correctly was named Pokkle says.

"Hm. Who you hunt, and who hunts you." Lippo has an evil expression on his face.

I was standing next to Hisoka, and we both look at each other in amusement.

"This is going to be fun. Isn't it love?"

"Indeed it will dear~"

"In this box are exactly twenty-five numbered cards. Which means that one of the numbered cards correspond with your badge. Now, each of you will draw a card in the order you exited the tower." Lippo motions his hands towards the small box.

"All right. Which one of you was first?" Hisoka and I smirk as we both walk towards the examiner. The group of applicants gasps as they see us move forward.

"Ladies first~" Hisoka motions me to grab a card, so I put my hand inside and pull one out.

"Thank you, love." I wink, walking back to the group.

Hisoka grabs his card, then was Gittarackur. He did it quite aggressively from his weird movements.

After some time everyone else grabs their cards.

"Has everyone drawn?" We all nod.

"Very well. Now if you would, please go ahead and remove the sticker." We all do as we were told, and I check my number.

Number 384.

I quickly look around, and there he was. Some guy who dressed like lord farquad stood, staring at his number.

This should be easy. I smirk.

"The number you see is your target." Lippo says. Everyone has a worried look on their face, and they all cover their badges. Not me though, I wasn't worried. Half of these people aren't capable of what I was capable of. Being an assassin came with its benefits.

I carelessly take my badge off and put it inside my bra. It was hidden pretty well, since my boobs were a bit plumper, you can hide anything in these fuckers.

"This box has recorded the number that each of you drew. Each card was tallied, then stored in memory. So if you like, you're free to dispose of the cards. It makes no difference at this point. The objective is to steal your target's ID badge."

"Oh good. So we don't have to kill each other, then." Some random asks.

"The method is up to you. Procure the badge however you see fit. But if you kill your target, you can take their badge easily." (this show uses too many big words I don't have big brain for this)

"Listen carefully!" Lippo lifts his hand.

"Collecting the ID badge of your specified target will earn you three points. Understand? Your own badge is also worth three points. And all the other badges are worth one point." We all nod, aware of what we're being told.

"In order to move on to the final phase, you will have to collect six points. So during your time there on Zevil Island, gather enough badges to collect six points or fail the exam. Only those who do will clear the fourth phase of the hunter exam." We all nod and head onto a boat that will take us to the island.
