Chapter 58

A few days later...

Hisoka and I were now in Kukuroo Mountain. We stood in front of the gates, preparing ourselves for the unexpected arrival we were about to make.

I focus all of my nen into my hands and place them on the front doors, then firmly press until they opened up.

"Six doors, outstanding job my fruit~" Hisoka winks and walks in before the gates close on us.

Hisoka and I walk the long trail through the forest, and we finally made it in front of the mansion.

"Are you ready dear? You seem a little tense~"

"I'm fine, don't worry." He nods and we both walk inside.

"Mother, father? It's me, Y/N." I roam around until I hear footsteps heading our way.

"Y/N! You're back! I missed you so much!" Mother runs up to me and opens her arms, and I return the gesture by hugging her tight. She pulls away and looks at Hisoka with a confused look.

"Hisoka? What are you doing here? Do you have a mission with Illumi?" He shakes his head in response.

"Mother, we have a few things to catch up on. Can I speak with you and father privately?" She nods and motions for us to follow her way.

Hisoka, mother and I find ourselves in front of a door to a room, assuming that's where we would talk.

"I'll be with Illumi if you need me dear. It was nice seeing you Kikyo, say hello to Silva for me if you will?~" Mother nods and Hisoka walks away, and we walk inside the room.

There sat father filling out paperwork on his desk, and he looks up with a confused look, but it quickly fades away as his eyes light up at my sudden appearance.

"Princess. You're home." He smiles.

"Of course I am."

"Y/N said she wanted to speak with us alone."

"If you guys have the time, I don't want to hold you back from work."

"Of course we can talk. Here, sit." Father motions for me to sit on the couch beside his desk, and I do so. Mother sits on the opposite side, making me face both of them.

"I'll get straight to the point. Have you been in contact with my biological parents?" They both give each other a look before mother replies.

"What makes you say that?"

"I got a letter last week. It's to a place called Ravensland, I'm assuming that's where the Devlin's live, but it's just a hunch." I shrug.

"I see. In that case, you're correct. We have been in contact with your biological parents, and they want to meet you." Father gives me that look, as if he was being forced to tell me this.

"How long have you guys been in contact with them?"

"Only a couple of weeks. They reached out to us in hopes of finding you."

"Interesting. Why do they wish to see me now?"

"No one knows but them princess. You'll have to go see them in person to find out." I nod in response.

"How's my dear Killua? He hasn't gotten into any trouble, has he?"

"He's doing just fine mother. I've been with him and Gon the entire time, I only let them go a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure what they're doing right now."

"Does he plan on coming back?"

"I don't know, we haven't really talked about it much. I shrug.

"Y/N, why did you bring Hisoka along with you? Have you guys known each other long?"
