*Spoilers Ahead*

I really liked Aru shah and the city of gold, and I didn't have any ideas to post so...here are my thoughts on Aru shah and the City of Gold.

1) The Brynne POV:

I really enjoyed the Brynne Pov, it really shows how Anila treated her, and why even the thought of boo betraying them, really hit her hard. It was actually really sad and makes me want to go hug her.

2) Mini totally schooling Rudy:

Mini showed Rudy that she was powerful, to be respected and not to be ignored. Rudy is still kind of arrogant and self-centred at the end(still hilarious, tho), but this time Mini doesn't value her self as more/less when Rudy does/doesn't pay her attention, and I love that for her.

3) Aru's anger at the start:

I don't know why, but I felt like it was very important for Aru to have those sudden bursts of anger because it really makes sense. Aru did chose to bear the weight of those devastating secrets for her friends and family, only to come back and see that they don't even believe her. Ouch. Obviously, it isn't the potatoes fault. Learning your mentor betrayed you is a pretty hard thing for someone to register, especially since Aru didn't have proof. and Aru was at the sleepers house for 2 months, so sleeper could have potentially tampered with her memories, and the rumours of Aru being the untrue sister had to have an effect.

4) Aru's jealousy.

I really like that Roshani Chokshi added that Kara liked Aiden. it does make sense since Arjuna and Karna are supposed to be archenemies and it really explores Aru's insecurities. Mostly when people feel jealous, they feel resentment to the person they are jealous of and Aru doesn't feel that at all. She just feels sad, and actually feels that Aiden and Kara really fit in with each other. It indicates that she thinks she thinks she doesn't deserve Aiden and that she always looks down upon herself, often comparing herself to other people. It's really sad.

(we do know that Aiden was able to show her how he saw her-- cut to the moment when aru was angry at him and he snapped a picture and said it was a good look on her.)

5)Aruden Moments:

I really liked the Aruden moments. They were so much deeper. some moments were just brief understandings or brief connections between them that actually implied so much. it really made me want to squeal.

6)Aruden Kiss:

I loved it. I've re-read it a hundred times.

It wasn't underwater or floating in the air, it was normal and I find that kind of charming. I think the reason for it being so normal was because it didn't mean that much, Aiden and Aru didn't start dating, and I actually think that they might start avoiding each other, especially because of the prophecy that Aiden now has. Also, I don't think Aiden wouldn't have kissed aru if she didn't put the celestial lipstick on because I think before that he just saw her as the girl who would e the death of him, but when she put on the celestial lip gloss, he saw her in a different light, and felt some kind of hope that he could actually establish a relationship with her.

7) kara:

I don't really like kara. She's just a bit too good. Personally, I thought the scene in the souvenir shop when kara forgot to take aru as a part of her plan was done on purpose. Also, she probably knew of aru's crush on Aiden. she had been kind of stalking them, id be surprised if she didn't find out. I don't exactly hate her though.

8) Brynne x Hira:

it kind of took me by surprise that Roshani Chokshi was endorsing Brynne x Hira, any romantic relationship between the 2 wasn't mentioned in the previous books, though I guess you could develop feelings for someone in 2 months. I like the ship and am excited to see how Rosh pulls it off.

9) Plot:

I really liked how Roshani perceived revenge and hatred, and this time the plot seemed based on the potatoes internal struggles. it was an interesting read and my personal favourite out of the series so far.

Thank you for reading about me blabbering about a book.
