I still remember the days when my sister and I lost our sense of taste and smell during community quarantine. My parents got panicked and assumed that we're infected by the virus, although we're just staying at home that time, and we never go outside of our house. My sister and I are just quiet and somehow calm, it doesn't make sense if we're going to panic also. We don't have any cough, sick, and colds that time, we just lost our sense of taste and smell. We isolated ourselves. My father and my brother separated themselves from us. My father also bought us different kinds of fruits that time like apples, pineapples, grapes, bananas, and mangoes. That was my first time I lost my sense of taste and sense of smell in my life. After four days, our sense of taste and sense of smell come back due to the fact of having extreme self-care and having a strong faith to Him. We monitored ourselves, eat healthy foods, and we avoided to sleep late at night.

We must never forget to take care of ourselves. As much as possible, we should sleep early at night, we must complete hours of sleep. Do not invest your time to the things that doesn't have good effects on you. If you invest your time in sleeping early, you will look fresh and look blooming howsoever. In addition, it will be easier for you to contemplate things right if you are taking care of your body. Here are more tips that you may use in taking care of yourself;

Right Foods at The Right Time

Food is one of the basic and essential things that we need in our life. It was included in Maslow's hierarchy of needs as our physiological needs, meaning it is a thing that we need to survive in life. Try to go outside of your house, and look on the people who don't have any food to eat. You are blessed because of the fact that you are not experiencing the struggles that they are experiencing. You don't need to worry about where to get food, or what food you will eat tomorrow. You don't need to sleep at night hungry.

Eating right foods at the right time will help our body work efficiently and effectively. In addition, it will help our brain to function well. One of the foods that I often eat is tuna. It helps my body to gain more protein and also to attain abs. Second is eating sardines because it will help you to sharpen your mind.

Stay Hydrated

Water is one of the most essential things that we need in our lives. We cannot live without water. Therefore, do not underestimate the power of water in us. I still remember the day when I was in high-school. One of my teacher in Filipino subject told us that water can heal a lot of illness. It is the one of the helpful thing that we can have. It cleanses our body and help our skin to glow. Drinking water can also prevent skin breakouts.

One of the things that I always do is to drink water with matching lemon. I used to drink 3-4 pitcher of water a day because I easily get coughs. I also use to drink at least one glass of warm water every morning when I wake up to cleanse my stomach and also to easily break down my food. In fact, it is not difficult for me to defecate every day. When I started to often drink water, my acne also lessen and my lips are also not dry. Drinking water helped my skin to be healthy and because of that, I am more confident with myself to deal with other people.

Sleep Early at Night

Sleeping early at night can help you to think properly and help your body to function well. Do not stay awake late at night for the person who do not love you, you will just get pain. Our body needs enough hours of sleep for at least 6-8 hour. There is no bad thing to take a rest. There is no bad thing to take care of yourself. There is no bad thing to prioritize yourself, to choose yourself. However, you must also monitor your sleeping routine and ensure that you are not taking too much sleep. If you are having a long hours of sleep like 12-15 hours, you are just wasting your time. You also need to be productive. You have to discipline yourself and you have to start it in sleeping early at night and not early in the morning. Try to adjust if you are not subtle with that routine. If you are sleeping 2:00 am in the morning, try to adjust your sleep at 12 midnight, so that you will adjust your sleep at night.

When I am experiencing difficulty to sleep before, I pray a long prayer because it helps me to sleep fast. I also listen to music every night before I go to sleep and it is one of the things that help me to fall asleep fast.

In giving a good account of yourself, you can also avoid the things that can harm you, the negative thoughts that can destroy you, and the people who can hurt you. You are building yourself now, don't let other people debacle the things that you've build for a long time in just a second. You can take of yourself by eating healthy foods in right time, having an enough hours of sleep, and having a daily personal hygiene. Moreover, you can also take care of yourself by disseminating positive thoughts in your mind. Have a good-self-talk and do not denigrate yourself. You can have your personal time, read books, listen to music, or watch your favorite movies. You will be happy again. We cannot avoid problems in our life, we cannot avoid stress and challenges in our life, but if we can handle ourselves well, we can also easily handle our problems. Be gentle to yourself, at the end of the day, no one can take of yourself as much as you
