How to Move Forward

LOVE YOURSELF

Do you want other people to contemplate you? Do you want them to notice you as a person? Then start to focus on yourself. You must the one who love yourself first. Learn how to embrace yourself and also your failures. I am insecure with myself before. I also make wrong decisions that can destroy my life. I also say to myself before that I am so stupid, even though I really know what is the right thing to do, I still did not do it. I also got to the point that I feel worthless, that I am not worth it, because I believe before that if you are worth it, you are also worth fighting for. I always depending my happiness before from other people. Until I have realized, people come and go. Not all the people you are with today, will be there with you tomorrow. Not all the people you talk with today, will also talk with you tomorrow. Some other can leave you except by Him. Therefore you must be independent person but dependent to God. Do not disparage yourself, love. There is One who is also hurting when you are denigrating yourself, the One who created you. So do not blame yourself because of the failures that you have made, you are not a failure. We are all perfectly imperfect and it is natural to have a mistakes.

It is important to love yourself first before others because how will you love others if you do not know how to love yourself? It is not selfish to start on yourself. It is not selfish to make yourself as your priority. If you love yourself first, everything will follow. You may not know that you are looking better than before until someone will complement the changes in your face, in your body, in your status in life, or in your career.

It is easy to love yourself if you wanted to. Try to set up your high standards. Standard is must if you want to protect yourself. Do not worry if you are having a high standard because He will give you the right person who is fit with His standard. The standard of Him is always the best, because He will always lead you to the right person that will definitely help you to do His plans. We all have different personalities but we all deserves the best, so think always what is best for you. Do not allow other people disparage you, if they so, they are also denigrating the creation of God.

Learn from your past

We cannot change anymore our past experiences in life. The past was already done. The only one thing that we can do is to learn from our past. You do not must repeat all the mistakes that you have done in your past because it is called stupid if you do it again. If you do not want to repeat the mistakes that you have from your past, then start to change yourself, change way, change your path, maybe you are just lost or maybe you are just walking on the wrong path. You will not reach your own destination if you are taking a wrong path. If you want to move forward, you need to learn from your past and choose the right path, a path where you are destined to be there.

Be grateful to yourself

As what you have read before, you must not denigrate yourself. If you have made a mistake, just accept and learn from it. You need to say great things to yourself like "I am so gorgeous", "I am so beautiful", or "I am so proud of you, self". Those are the words that I always tell to myself when someone tries to drag me down. I always remind myself that I can be a better person day by day, and it is okay to fail but I have to learn from it. I always compare myself to what I am before, and I know that I also moved forward because of the steps that I made. I am proud with myself that I surpass all my breakdowns in life.

While I am writing this chapter, I am confusing with my grammars, with my sentences, and with my proper usage of words, why? Because of the reason that if I will publish this book, some other people will judge my words. I admit that one of my weaknesses is having a difficulty of using English language because I am more comfortable in using Filipino language. So why did I used this language? I just want to challenge myself. I just want to improve myself that I can be a better person. It is hard but I am so grateful with myself that I finished this book even though I am confusing before if I will continue to use the English language in writing this book or not.

Think about the story of mine. There is no impossible thing if you are determined, if you are willing to take a step to move forward and embrace your failures from the past. Learn how to embrace yourself. You will not go to the stage that you standing in life if you are not making a decision. You will not be a better person if you did not know how to love yourself. Therefore, you must focus on yourself first. It is better to be selfish first, than to be selfless.
