CHAPTER 44

LWANDLE.

My world no our world is about to be turned upside down my god!. Why didn’t Millie tell me that this man is back and he’s dating our mom!. This is bad. This is a fucken nightmare!. My mate pulls my hand into his and I know he wants to know why am I crying and what am I hiding from him. How the hell am I going to explain what is really going on?.
How could that man come back in our lives again. Does he want to ruin our lives again?. How could mom not see what king of man he really is?. Eight freaking months she was seeing him and hid it from us?!.
The car stops moving and I look up and see we are parked outside this beautiful house.
“ Is this our house?.”
“ It is ”
“ I love it.”
“ Lwandle?.... ”
“ I'll see you inside.” I try to open the door but he locks it.
“ what’s going on love?.” I can’t tell him.
“ What do you mean?. ”
“ Lwandle!.... ”
“ there’s nothing going on!.”
“ really? That’s how you want to play it?. ”
“ baby I… . ”
“ I know that you and your sister are terrified of that man. Both our wolves wanted to attack that man and kill him. What is going on?. ” I wipe my tears.
“ I can’t tell you I’m sorry.”
“ love you know I won’t let anyone hurt you. Ever!.”
“ I’m scared.”
“ I know you are but I am here. He won’t do a single thing to hurt you. I promise love.”
“ I know that. I’m scared that you won’t look at me the same way if I tell you what’s going on.”
He puts both his hands on my face and looks deep in my eyes.
“ nothing you can tell me can change the way I see you, looks at you, love you and respect you. Nothing could change that.”
“ the past has come back to haunt us.”
“ Did he hurt you and your sister?.” She nods.
“ He did sthe. He ruined our lives.” Oh my god!
“ let’s go in the house so we can talk properly.”
“ I want to tell you… ”
“ in the house love. Come.”
We both step out of the car and walk to the house. I let him lead me wherever he’s taking me. Gugu, Bettina and thandiswa are somewhere in the house because he opens the door and there’s my sister and sandile.
Millie is a crying mess. I think sandile was trying to comfort her and he eventually gave up cause she’s inconsolable. I walk to the bed and brush her back. I don’t want to cry. I thought we both won’t ever see this man ever in our lives but here he is. Back again to make out lives miserable because of what happened.
“ Millie why didn’t you tell me he was back?.”
“ I wanted to but I was scared. I left the same day I caught them and I’ve been to my house ever since. I only came this morning cause I knew you guys were coming.”
“ did he talk to you?.”
“ he tried to when mom was in her bedroom but I just screamed and locked myself in my bedroom. What are we going to do lwandle?.”
I take a deep breath and close my eyes.
“ how old were you when it first started?. ” she asks.
Millie sits up and looks at me.
“ When what first started?.”
“ when he molested the both of you?.”
“ What?!. ” We both shriek.
“ he never touched us!.”
“ Never! I would have killed him if he ever tried!.” Millie says.
“ if he didn’t molest you then why are the both of you scared of him?. ” sandile asks us.
“ The two of you better start talking cause we can’t protect you if we don’t know.” Sthe says.
We look at each other again.
“ he killed our father.” Millie tells them.
“ We figured that out but it still doesn’t explain the terror you both feel. ”
I stand up and begin to pace.
“ what are you hiding from me love?.”
“ I can’t say it. I’m scared.”
“ you’re scared of me?.”
“ no baby never. I trust you.”
“ then tell me what’s going on. What did he do to you?.”
“ we thought he was…” I try to explain
“ I killed him.” Millie beats me to it.
“ What?!. ” sthe says looking at me.
“ no ways!. You Millie killed…” sandile is shocked to the core.
“ Millie is lying. I was the one who killed him. I thought I did but I didn’t cause he’s obviously still alive.” I form a fist cause I want to punch something so bad and bear it breaking.
My mate is shaking his head then he looks at sandile and they both laugh.
“ sthembiso I’m not lying. I killed him. I killed that man cause we saw him killing our dad!.”
The both stop laughing. Sthe comes to me and sits me down on the dressing table chair.
“ Start in the beginning on what happened that day.” I wipe my eyes.
“ I still remember that day like it was yesterday. Millie has always been daddy’s little girl. She takes after our dad and he sometimes used to say that she was supposed to be a boy but instead… . ” Millie and I look at each other and now it makes sense. Why didn’t I put two and two together?.
“ the goddess moon gave him a girl who’s exactly like him in everyway.” Both Millie and I say.
“ dad never told us what we are and it was like he was hiding that part of our lives.” I tell them.
“ He never wanted us have a dog or even swear at one cause he would say they are one of ours and we would laugh cause we thought he was just teasing us.” Millie says.
“ It was a Saturday. I was 19 and Millie was 14 but she has never acted like. A 14 year old. She was way too smart for her age and it used to drive dad crazy. Both her dad had this stupid fight cause Millie didn’t want to go to our uncles house. She wanted to stay with dad but we couldn’t cause dad was going to have his friends over and watch soccer. This one threw a fit and started crying out of the blue and it was unlike her. Millie never cried I always thought she was a little psycho.” She laughs. I smile.
“ Dad negotiated with her and they made a deal that he would take her somewhere tomorrow just the two of them and she agreed. But then when we got to our uncles place everything just felt wrong. We both didn’t feel okay but we kept it to ourselves. I didn’t know she was feeling the same way but I could see that she wanted dad. At 4pm she had had enough and she demanded that we went home and I agreed cause there was something telling me that something was not right and we left without letting our uncle know.”
I take a deep breath.
“ when we got home there we no cars outside and we thought it’s either dad left with his friends or he’s inside. The kitchen door was opened so we got in and we heard mabasa's voice talking but we didn’t hear our dads voice. The smell of blood hit us as we walked closer and Millie tried to run to the living room but I stop her cause we didn’t know what we’re were going to see. I told her to stand behind me while I checked what was going on. I crawled on my knees silently then when I was close…..” I’ll never forget that day.
“ ….it looked like a fight broke out cause almost everything was broken in the living room and there was blood everywhere. Mabasa’s clothes were bloody too and he was kneeling down next to our dad. I looked closely and saw him pulling an injection out from our dad’s chest. Dad was not moving or anything. He was still like….he couldn’t feel anything.” I continue.
“ I was going to ask him what he was doing but stopped when he said… .. When he….. ”
“ He said! ( I have wanted to kill you the moment I found out what a dog you really are. There is no place for people like you in this world. Greet the other dogs for me.) That’s what he said. ” Millie tells them.
“ he got up and we got scared cause we thought he was going to see us. We quickly crawled  to my mom’s room and hid behind the door cause their bedroom door is always left opened. We thought he was going to kill us too if he saw us but he left  cause we heard the door closing shut. We waited for a few minutes before we got out and ran to our dad. His eyes were wide open and his body was stone cold. He had bruises all over his face, his clothes bloody like he was attacked by many people at once. ”
“ I am sorry. You both wasn’t supposed to see your dad like that.”  My mate says.
“ mabasa’s killed your dad cause he found out what he was.” Sandile says.
“ How?.” I ask him.
“ didn’t you ask him why when you tried to kill him?.”
“ no. He didn’t know that we knew he killed our father.”
“ Your mother said they were best friends and maybe your dad told him cause he trusted him but then his best friends betrays him and kills him.” Sandile says.
“ No there’s more to this. Your dad was an alpha. A mere human wouldn’t have been able to kill him. He was going to overpower him and kill him instead.” Sthe says.
“  unless he is not just a human. How did you try to kill him?” sandile asks.
“ we bought rat poison from another guy.”
“ No sis it wasn’t rat poison. It was straight poison. I asked that guy to make it very strong cause I wanted to take someone out.” Millie clarifies.
“ how did you get it to him?.” Sandile asks again.
“  we would watch him come to our house and pretend like everything is okay and he didn’t kill our dad. At his funeral he spoke so well and cried fake tears and we hated it. Millie didn’t even try to hide that she hated him. 6 months after our dad passed we made a pact that we we’re going to kill him and so this one Saturday afternoon he came and found us cooking in the kitchen. Our mom was at work and so he waited for her and asked for a plate. More like demanded it and we saw the opportunity cause we had already brought the poison we just didn’t know how will we be able to poison him.” I explain.
“ I plated for him then we both took the poison and put it in his food gave it to him and we watched him eat it. He more he ate it, the more he was sweating and we both knew he was going to die. He finished the food then told us he’s going home cause he was not feeling well. He stood up and almost fell so I offered to drive him home and he agreed. The three of us got in the car and I drove him to his house. His wife and kids were not there and he was getting worse. We took him inside his bathroom then we took off his clothes and just left him with his underwear. I asked Millie to make sure that there’s no one in the house. While she was doing that, I…….I….I ran to his kitchen and took a butcher knife.”
Millie gasps in shock.
“ I used the kitchen paper towel to grab the butcher knife. I saw a plastic bag on the counter and I took it too then ran back again to the bathroom. I locked the door cause I didn’t want Millie to see what I’m doing. I put the knife on both of his hands and point it to his chest. Straight in his heart and I pushed the knife in hard. I could hear his ribcage bone cracking and when the knife pierced his heart. He groaned and I pushed all of it in. I was crying and scared  at the same time but all I could think about was my dad. He killed him and I wanted to make sure that he was really dead.” I cry on his chest.
“ I could hear her crying in there and I was scared to open the door. She then came out and told me that we had to leave. I asked her what was going on but she was just crying. I went to the kitchen cabinet, took the bleach and dish washing clothes and wiped the whole car where I was sitting and where lwandle touched when she was driving including the house handles. We made sure no one sees us then we left threw the empty bottle of bleach and dishcloth on our way home. We never talked about that day ever again. We just heard that he was dead and nothing else until I saw him with our mother that day. I thought I was dreaming, it couldn’t be him but it was. I went to my house and never left until today cause I was scared that he was going to come and kill me.”
“ how the hell did he survive the knife in his heart?. ” sthe asks.
“ It’s impossible to survive it.”sandile shakes his head.
“ Unless love you didn’t penetrated his heart but actually pierced just inches away from it.” I say
“ Did he have a twin brother?. ” sthe asks.
“ We don’t know.”
“ something is really off with that man.” sandile says.
“ You have to try and read him. See who he really is so we can know what we are dealing with but one thing we all know and agree on is, that man has to die. For real this time.”sthe says.
“ are you mad at me?. ”
“ No love I’m just surprised that’s all and I am not mad at you at all. He deserved it.”
“ if he was alive all these years then where was he?. Why reveal himself 8months ago?. ” sandile asks.
“ he was waiting for the right time to strike. He wants revenge and your mother could be his part of the plan. You have to tell her what happened. ” my mate says.
“ we have tried many times but every time we try she says she doesn’t want to talk about it.”
“ You have to tell her now before he kills her too love.”
“ What if mom told him about us and what we are?.”
“ she won’t do that Millie.”
“ She hid her relationship with that man from us for 8 months lwandle. Mom can t be trusted!.”
“ Millie I know she’s your mother but give her some credit. I don’t think she would do that.” Sthe says.
My mate can’t keep his eyes away from me. I know he’s wondering why I hid this from him cause we agreed that there would the anymore secrets between us but this secret I was prepared to take to the grave with me. I know he’s maybe disappointed at me cause he now knows I’m a killer. I killed a man that killed our father and I would do it all over again.
I am going to kill him for real this time because I am stronger than him and have my sister, protector and my mate. The alpha king.
“ lwandle why didn’t you ever tell me what you did in there?.”
“ I didn’t want you to carry this burden.”
“ that’s why you kept insisting that it was you who killed him and not me.”
“ because I did kill him and now you know.” She walks to me
“ I’m sorry you had live with that on your own. I thought we both did it and we would carry it to our graves. She wipes her tears.
She touches my shoulder and the moment I do that I feel like I have been thrown somewhere. I feel cold air all around my body. I see Malibongwe laughing. He is with another man who is facing away from me. I don’t know who he is.
“ I  am finally in and the plan is in place. I am just waiting for that one final peace to fall then they are all dead. ” Malibongwe says.
“ are you sure the man says.”
“ I am and I have recruited someone to help me.”
“ Who?..... ”
“ Lwandle! Lwandle! Lwandle! ” Millie voice brings me back.
“ what did you see love?.” I take a deep breath.
“ your eyes are blue!.” Millie says.
“ I saw malibongwe and… ” I tell them everything I saw and heard.
“ What is that fucker planning?!” sthe asks Millie.
“ I don’t know. I haven’t seen him since that day.” She looks hurt. I read her mind and she is telling the truth.
“ She’s telling the truth. Why would I have a vision of him though and who’s that man?.”
“ what if it’s mabasa?. ” Sandile says.
“ how would they both know each other though cause I felt like they knew each other but it wasn’t mabasa.”
“ I can ask him.”
“ hell no. You’re not getting anywhere close to that fucker!.”
“ but he’s my mate bhuti sthe.”
“ His mate is thembeka. ”
“ what? ” we all sing.
“ Thembeka is his mate. She was with the Luna’s the day the alpha’s invaded the pack. The doctor told me that he was speaking out loud when he was mind linking with his mate. She said malibongwe mentioned the name thembeka many times like he almost wanted her to hear it.” My sister is hurt.
“ He wanted the doctor to tell me or the alpha king.” I say. What is malibongwe up to cause it seems as if he’s planned everything.
“ So he’s not my mate?.”
“ I don’t think he really is.” Sandile tells her.
“ But I saw that he has the same mark I have on my back. What does that mean if it doesn’t mean he’s my mate then?.”
“ That time you were in Cape Town love did he look at your phone or maybe ask you to show him pictures of Millie?.”
“ he didn’t unless if he did when I was asleep cause he ould tell me to sleep and I would sleep instantly.” Sthe frowns.
“ if he really is her mate. Then why didn’t his wolf recognize her that first time the both of you went to pick lwandle at the mall?.” Sandile asks the same thing Millie once asked me.
“ even I didn’t feel anything from him. No scent or anything…” she seems to think.
“ then how did the both of them have the same mark?.”
“ Lwandle when you were in Cape Town and after we video called you sent me your pictures and I sent you mine wearing g a bra and shorts. I sent you my grinning picture and in the bathroom and the mirror was reflecting my back. He might have seen that picture on your phone when you were sleeping….”
“ then what? Found someone who’ll do the exact mark on him?. Millie I touched his back cause I thought it was a tattoo but it wasn’t. You know he once said he has some powers and he could sometimes do anything he wants to do.”
“ Well there’s your answer. He did that on purpose cause he knew you are going to see it then lead him to your sister and do God knows what!. ”. Sandile says.
“ We need to find that boy Pat. He might give us the answers we want.” Sthe says.
“ he said Pat doesn’t know what he is.”
“ why don’t we just ask him straight?. ” Millie says.
“ she’s right. I’ll find someone who teleports like us to find malibongwe and stay in his trail.” Sandile says.
“ whatever they are planning involves us. We need to keep your mother safe and ask her if maybe she slipped something out about us. Your uncle should also that there might be something going on.” Sthe says.
“ We’ll do that.” I tell him.
“ I’ll be back.” He hugs me tight, kisses me then disappears.
