Third person's POV:
Mateo stared in awe as a swirling, shimmering mist formed at the base of an oak tree. A round blue portal seemed to form in the center of the swirl.
"Whoa......" Stunned, he took a step back.
The mist continued to swirl, Mateo closed his eyes. You must be your own master. Alacazar's voice echoed in his mind. He took a tiny step forward, and another, and......
Mateo's POV:
"What are you doing here?" Elena asked.
"I was about to ask you the same question!" I exclaimed.
"And why should I answer?" She replied without even paying attention.

"Naomi!" I cried in surprise.
"Yeah, you got that name right. Here's a deal, you give me your tambourita, or say goodbye to your dear little friend." She threatened, her blue eyes twinkling. She held a knife to Elena's neck and cackled.
"Look, this is not a joke. Let's set things up, will ya?" I asked politely as I flashed my best smile.
"No, toss me your tambourita. Right now! At once and immediately!" She screamed. I bet she's losing patience.
"Here you go......" My voice trailed off, something was wrong. I looked at Elena, since when does her skin become so pale? Then I realized the truth, it's an ambush!
"I'm not giving my tambourita and my decision is final!" I said and ran away.
I went back to the tree where I went through and tried to find a way back to the palace. But nothing worked. This is getting more and more complicated than I thought. Plus, where was the real Elena?
Author's note:
It probably makes sense now. Since there is no way Elena would know about that strange portal. Hope you enjoyed it! Bye!
