" Cody!" Ahsoka shouted, immediately using the force to bring his communicator to her and smash it to pieces, but it was too late. Cody didn't waste any time jumping to his feet and pulling out his blasters. He grabbed Ahsoka's wrist and twisted her arm behind her back, aiming the gun at her temple.
" CODY! You have to fight it!" it hurt Rex to point his DC-17's at his brother, but it wasn't like he had a choice. " Put it down Cody." he said, lacking confidence in his words.
" TRAITORS!" Cody spat, refusing to take his eyes off Ahsoka.
" Sir, don't do it. It's the chip. Fight it sir!" Waxer pleaded, having his weapon, along with Dogma in the same position as Rex.
" Cody, listen to us. You were so close to being free. Please, resist it." Rex put his blasters on the ground and walked towards him. He could see vod struggling to get his thoughts together.
" I-I'm sorry Rex. I c-can't. It's too much." his small hesitation gave Ahsoka enough time to duck out from under him and break free from his hold. Unfortunately, that's also when the rest of the troopers came through the doors.
" Rex, we need to go." Ahsoka activated her sabers. " Set your weapons to stun. We need to try and find Fives and the others."
" I'm truly sorry Commander." Waxer pulled the trigger and Cody fell to the ground.
Ahsoka and deflected shots as more of the clones who weren't lucky enough to get their chip out swarmed the room and the one way hall.
" The locks on the outside of the door won't budge!" Kix fiddled with the keypad to the medical bay.
" Then what should we do?" Rex was out of ideas. They weren't gonna last long if they didn't get out soon. They couldn't just leave the corridor and go to the next with all the troopers following them.
Dogma looked around frantically. " Captain Rex! I have an idea. Get to the end of the hall, I'll try and buy us time." he turned to Ahsoka. " Commander, I know this may seem a little risky, but I need you to come with me."
Ahsoka nodded. This was one of her men. She trusted him.
They took off the opposite direction, back to the med bay. " Hey, come and get us!" he hollered.
" Dogma! What are you doing!" Rex watched as the two ran towards the army of clones that no longer had control over their own minds. The troopers that were once chasing him, Kix and Waxer, averted their attention to the Jedi and other clone that was with her.
Ahsoka and Dogma stood on each side of the door and waited for the men to spill in. Ahsoka stared at the unconscious Cody on the ground. She had failed him.
" Hands above your head traitors." one of the members from the 212th hissed. Dogma eyed Ahsoka and stepped out in front of her. " Sorry brother, I can't do that."
" You are no brother of mine." the clone said in a venomous tone. He gestured to his other brothers with him. They raised their blasters.
" Last chance. Stand down or I will show you no mercy."
Dogma glared back at him from under his helmet. He pointed his gun at the wall
" Fire!" the trooper ordered. At the last second, Dogma shoved Ahsoka out way and slapped his hand on the lock control on the inside of the room.
" NO!" Ahsoka's shrieked.
Rex watched from the end of the hall.
" No, Dogma." he whispered. Dogma had just sacrificed himself to save them. He would never forget that.
Ahsoka took in the last moment that she ever saw her trooper. She raced to meet up with Rex, Waxer and Kix.
" Wh-why would he do that." Ahsoka asked still in shock, her eyes glistening with tears.
" He was a loyal trooper til the end. He would do anything for you." Kix comforted.
Ahsoka's head hung low. " I just hope his sacrifice was worth it."
