Rex ran a hand over his face. He shakily stood up and paced around. The countdown was tearing him apart by the minute. Every beep going by was a second he was losing his life. Maybe he had gone too far in his investigation. Was it really worth dying for if it didn't help prevent the upcoming events? Then again Kix knew almost everything, but he might die as well. Rex hoped he wouldn't, but both their chances were slim.

"Well there's nothing more I can do." Rex decided to try and find the source of the bomb. He tore through the entire briefing room, looking anywhere for where an explosive would be hidden. He opened a panel on the side of the datatable and there it was. A decent size box with large numbers plastered on the front on it which read one hour.

Ahsoka couldn't believe it. Kix was gone. The hatch was opened, which meant that Krell had come through there before encountering them.

"No, I should have stayed," she breathed. Her head felt light. She had sent Kix to his death.

Her mind then went straight to Rex. If Krell didn't kill him, he must be in danger. She had already left him for long enough. Other than his pain she felt, she had made no contact with him since he told her to go. She didn't tell him at the time how much it hurt that he had pushed her away. They had a chance to finally leave and forget the nightmare. The Jedi would have helped him, like Shaak Ti.

"I have to try." She climbed down the dreaded ladder once more, hoping to come back with her love.

Rex fumbled with the wires. He was between two when it started to spark. He yanked his fingers away and in the process, pulled one of the wires out of its place by accident.

"Kriff! No no no!" He watched in horror as the timer dropped to thirty minutes. " What did I do!" He shouted out in frustration.

Ahsoka checked the path that she had been through before. She activated her lightsabers in case she needed to defend herself before entering the holding cells. She was nervous when she didn't see Rex where he was last time.

"Where could he be?" She exited the room. There was only one other tunnel. All of her hope landed on that option. When she approached the end there was a red glow lighting up the pitch dark. She ran towards the light source and peered through the tinted screen and saw her beloved clone Captain on the floor.

"Rex!" She screamed both relieved to have found him, but also worried about why he was behind the shield.

Rex's head shot up at the sound of his cyar'ika's voice. "Ahsoka?!"

I'm so sorry it's short. I'm really tired. I had track and then my brother's car broke down three times on the way home then I decided to walk the rest of the way with my backpack and track bag, which was tiring. Anyways I have wake up early tomorrow.

Hope y'all had a great Friday!
