(Hopes POV)

"Evan she keeps..." Tyler was muffled as he looked back between Evan and I before I fell back under. I opened my eyes again to see Tyler cutting into my skin with his knife, and again, I passed out.

"What the fuck?" My eyes slowly opened up again as I saw Tyler pull a metal object from my leg with his knife, once again I passed out again.

"It's not a bullet, that's for..." Evan looked back in confusion. I lifted my head to look at the wound and saw my thigh mostly covered in a mixture of fresh and dried blood. I felt my stomach flip as I turn my head towards the floorboard and proceeded to throw up my lunch.

"Hey hey! Easy there, you're good, you're good." Brian says as he tries to get my small hair out of my face.

As quick as I started I got out as much as I could and laid my head back on the seat passed out once more.

Once I opened my eyes again, I noticed it was quiet, really quiet. I look around and see that I'm lying down in Evan's bed. Oh, how it's been a while since I laid in this bed. Wait... why am I lying in his bed? I quickly sit up and sure enough I'm back at Evan's apartment. My thigh feels like I just got a flu shot jabbed into it. I take off the covers and yup my thigh was bandaged up, luckily the bandage was still white so that has to be a good sign.

I look at his corner table at his alarm clock, 4:25 PM it reads. My eyes widen as I yank the covers off of me and jump out of the bed. My thigh shoots pain both up and down my leg but not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, it's still tolerable. I run to the best of my ability up the stairs and into the living room.

Evan, Tyler, and Brian were all starting to load guns up with ammunition. I go to the table where they are and pick up my AP Pistol and grab the clip for it, starting to load it with bullets. Acting like I just didn't get shot at a few hours earlier. I can feel their gazes burning into me.

"Hey, can you pass me those boxes of bullets?" I point to the green box near Evan and look up at him. Not taking my eyes off his until he either passes them or says something.

He quickly looks down to where I'm pointing and grabs the box, placing it in my hand. I give him a quick smile and go back to reloading. Tyler clears his throat and goes back to reloading his gun as well as the rest of the guys. Thank the lord, let's hope that they continue acting like nothing happened a few hours earlier.

"So um, it wasn't an actual bullet that shot you... would you want to see what it is?" Tyler asks without looking up from his task at hand. Maybe that's why I'm not in so much pain as I usually am when I get shot at. I finish with the magazine and shove it into my pistol.

"Yeah because it doesn't hurt as much as I thought it was gonna be." I look up and see Tyler setting down the gun before he walks over toward the sink.

He grabs a small bowl and brings it over to the table. I look inside the semi-bloody bowl and see a medium pill-sized metal object laying there.

"A tracker. We broke it as soon as we saw it, not taking any chances in this fucking war." Evan says behind me. I take a deep breath and slowly release it. I turn around and look at Evan.

"When are we leaving cause-" I was cut off by the front door quickly opening. I turn to look and see Jon, Holly, and Autumn hurrying in followed by everyone else. I turn back to Evan confused.

"We tweaked with plans while you were out. We're heading out in 20." Evan says before walking over to Jon. I look over at Autumn and Holly as they jog over to me.

"You sure you're good enough to fight?" Holly says while pointing at my thigh. I smile and nod my head.

"It doesn't hurt as much anymore so I'm ready." I smile at Holly. She gives me a smile back and nods her head.

"Alright! Everyone listen up! Lui is flying in the helicopter from the hanger to the roof. Half of the team is on the helicopter the other half is on foot with the Insurgents, you'll be wearing heavier armor so pack a lot of ammunition. Once the air team lands on the roof we'll squeeze them out of the warehouse so the ground team has an opportunity to shoot at them. Remember it's on sight with Seth and Jordan, no exceptions." Evan looks around at us before his eyes land on mine,

"No exceptions Hope, I mean it." I roll my eyes and go back to loading up bullets into my magazines. Holly and Autumn come next to me and start loading their bullets as well.

"So... wanna explain what happened?" Holly asks quietly. I shrug my shoulders and grab my next gun of choice.

"Well, we were at the docks, a couple of buildings away from the warehouse, staking it out. Then Evan and Jordan locked eyes, and we ran out of there and ran toward Tylers' car, I got shot at, and while I was in and out of consciousness they guys saw that it was some sort of tracker funny enough. Guess there's no limit on what a person can do in times of war." I shrug while taking another deep breath.

Except for Evan and Jon talking in the corner near the front door, the rest of us quietly load up on ammo, medical supplies, and armor either for ourselves or for each other. Holly, Autumn, and I help each other with the heavy armor, strapping it where we can't reach at. When we finally get suited up, Evan and Jon walk over to us.

"You already know you're with us right?" I grab my AP Pistol and shove it in my waistband, before looking at the two. I give them a small smile and nod my head. As if I could ever leave their sight again, I mean this is MY fault that we're in this mess in the first place.

"So who else is with us then besides you, Brian, and Tyler?" I ask Evan. He looks back at everyone as they continue to get ready.

"Besides us four, our group also consists of David, Kryoz, Craig, and Brock. Everyone else will be with Lui on the Helicopter." He says. It clicks in my mind instantly why Evan picked who he picked to be on the insurgent team, most if not all of them tower over me, not to mention that most of their builds provide cover for me.... human shields. I open my mouth to say something, but Evan cuts me off before I can get a word out.

"And before you say anything, Jon and I already discussed this. We all know what's at play here, and that's why we chose who we chose, remember, this is your seal team. We're not changing it, this is final, in fact-" Evan looks away from me and looks around at everyone else. "Everyone is to understand that this is life and death we are working with here, no more kidnappings, no more stalking, no more Seth or Jordan. Shoot to kill here people, this ends tonight one way or another, do I make myself clear?" Everyone looks at Evan now and nods their heads, understanding the risk that they are gonna be put through. He looks back at me and as we make eye contact I also nod my head, life or death.

"Alright then, Jon and Lui's team go on and head to the hangar. By the time that you get there, we'll start heading out towards the docks, we'll all arrive at the same time and attack from there." Evan says looking back at everyone again. I look over to Holly and Autumn and bring them into a small group hug. They hug back twice as hard before we finally let go of each other.

"We'll see you later Hope, okay?" Holly says giving me a small smile before she and Autumn go with the rest of their group. After they left it was quiet once more. I let out a quick sigh before walking towards the stairs, going down towards Evans' room.

Not sure how long I was down there, just staring out into the city before Evan yells down that it's time to leave. We get into the two insurgents, of course, I'm in the one with Evan, Brian, Tyler, and Craig. I keep my thoughts to myself as we drive towards the docks, a 15-minute drive if you're flying down the highway. We turned onto the street of the warehouse in 10, Lui's helicopter now flying above us.

I hold my breath as the Insurgent keeps pushing forward. So far, none of Jordan's men are waiting for us, but with the helicopter and Insurgents, it won't take them long to realize what's going on. I grab ahold of my gun and slowly let out my breath, now or never Hope.
