WARNING: MENTION OF DEATH IN THIS CHAPTER

Ross and Roy looked at each other in shock and Ross' dad immediately told the kid to get into the car's backseat next to Ross and Roy since Kevin was in the passenger's seat. The kid got in and directed Ross' dad to where there was a car crashed into a tree. Ross' dad got out of the car and told Kevin to go with him since he was the oldest of the kids. They both walked over to the crash while Ross and Roy stayed with the other kid. He looked scared and sad. Roy and Ross glanced at each other. Roy looked over to the new kid.

"Uhm... hi. My name is Roy and this is my friend Ross. What's your name?" Roy asked softly. The new kid looked over to Roy.

"I'm Robert." He replied softly.

"It's nice to meet you." Ross said. Robert just gave a small nod. Roy had a backpack full of things he would need until Ross' dad could take them back to their house to move everything to Ross' house since they were gonna live with them. He opened it and pulled out a stuffed animal dog. He held it out to Robert. Robert took the dog and held it tightly. Then Roy gave him a hug and Robert hugged back.

"Thank you. I needed that." Robert said as he pulled away.

"You're welcome." Roy replied.

"So uh, how old are you?" Ross asked.

"I'm eight." Robert replied.

"Woah... that's so cool!" Roy said getting all excited again.

"He's six, I'm seven, and you're eight." Ross said softly.

"I'm the oldest then. That's cool." Robert said, giving a small, weak smile. Suddenly the three of them heard sirens. They looked out the window and saw police and an ambulance. Robert just looked away and towards the ground. Roy and Ross looked away as well as Kevin and Ross' dad got back into the car. Robert looked up a bit.

"What happened?" Ross asked.

"Robert is going to be living with us as well." Ross' dad responded.

"Is she...?" Robert asked softly dreading the answer he knew was coming.

"Yes. She is. I'm so sorry Robert." Ross' dad said softly as he began to drive. Robert began to cry as he sat there holding Roy's stuffed dog. Roy being too young to understand looked at Ross confused.

"What happened?" He asked softly.

"His mom passed away." Ross responded. Roy's eyes widened as he came to the realization of what had happened. He looked over to Robert and gave him another hug. Robert hugged Roy back, still crying a bit. They eventually arrived at the house and set up a couple beds for Kevin, Robert, and Roy. Ross let Robert have his bed for the night since he had the worst day of his life. Roy slept on an air mattress on the floor next to Ross. Kevin slept on the small couch Ross had in his room. Ross's dad made sure they were all as comfortable as possible at the moment and then told them goodnight and went to his room. The four of them were pretty quiet until Robert broke the silence.

"Well... now I have no parents." He said softly.

"Neither of us have parents." Roy stated softly.

"None of us have a mom." Ross commented quietly.

"What happened to your guy's parents?" Robert asked.

"How about we just talk about it tomorrow? I'm tired." Roy replied quietly.

"Alright. Goodnight guys." Robert said.

"Goodnight." Roy and Ross responded in unison. With that the four of them fell asleep.

((Sorry for the short chapter. The next one will be longer I promise. The next one will also be happier than these past few were. It's gonna get a lot cuter.))
