Friends to the End

The Mall

 Robert and Roy looked around in wonder. The treehouse was pretty empty having nothing but the tv and bookshelf that Ross had told Kevin about.

"It's not much but here's my treehouse." Ross said.

"It's so cool!" Roy exclaimed.

"Empty? Yes. It's cool nonetheless." Robert stated.

"You guys think it's cool anyway?" Ross asked.

"Of course it is!" Roy proclaimed.

"I agree with Roy." Robert replied.

"Well I'm glad you guys think so." Ross responded. Suddenly there was a knock on the trapdoor to the treehouse. Ross walked over and opened it. Kevin was there.

"Hey Kevin." Ross said.

"Hi Ross, are Robert and Roy in there?" Kevin inquired.

"Yep all three of us are in here." Ross replied.

"Okay, well you guys need to come with me and your dad." Kevin said.

"We going somewhere?" Ross questioned.

"Yeah we're gonna go look at stuff that we could get to make your treehouse cooler." Kevin responded.

"Alright, we'll be there in a sec." Ross said. Kevin climbed down the ladder and went back to the house. Ross closed the trapdoor. Then he motioned for Roy and Robert to follow him back to his room. They went inside and put their shoes on and then met Kevin and Jack downstairs. They walked out to the car. They all got in and buckled their seatbelts. Robert looked nervous when they started driving.

"Are you okay Robert?" Ross asked.

"Y-yeah. Just n-not feel safe i-in car." Robert replied speaking differently due to his anxiousness. Ross grabbed Robert's hand and held it. Robert looked at Ross.

"It's okay Robert. You're okay. I'm here for you." Ross said. Robert smiled softly.

"Thank y-you." Robert replied.

"You're welcome." Ross stated smiling back at Robert. Eventually Jack parked the car in the parking lot of the biggest mall in town. The three friends got out and looked at it in wonder.

"Woah..." Roy said.

"That is the biggest mall I've ever seen." Robert commented.

"It's the Mystic Woods Mall! The best mall in the world!" Ross exclaimed.

"Correct." Jack said, "I decided since it wasn't far from us we'd go since your birthday is coming and you've wanted to come here for years now."

"I didn't know it was so close!" Ross exclaimed as they walked towards the mall.

"Well now you know." Jack said. He walked into the mall with the friends following. The three kids looked around in wonder. There were three levels to the mall and tons of stores.

"Okay Ross, you have a choice. You can get a couple big things for your treehouse or a bunch of small things." Jack stated.

"Do beanbags count as a small thing?" Ross asked.

"Yeah those count as a small thing." Jack replied.

"Then we need to find a place that sells bean bags." Ross responded, "Also any place that sells space themed stuff. I want my treehouse to look spacey!"

"Ooh! I like space!" Robert exclaimed.

"I like dinosaurs." Roy said.

"Wait... what if we find space dinosaurs?" Ross asked. Robert and Roy both got excited at the thought and they started to follow Ross as he walked through the mall. They spent a couple hours there with the trio making out like bandits. Ross got a bunch of stuff cause it was his birthday present to be here. Roy and Robert got a bunch of stuff because they didn't have the best of luck recently. After a few hours of running around and getting stuff they went back to the car and got in with all of their goodies and headed home. Robert felt safer in the car this time because he had a stuffed animal giraffe. It was one of those stuffed animals you could heat up and they would keep you warm at night. They got back to the house and Kevin helped Jack set up all the new stuff in the treehouse. Star lights, bean bags, space rug, space curtains, a mini fridge, all sorts of cool stuff. The treehouse was really coming together now. The best part was that Jack allowed Ross to have a sleepover in the treehouse with his two friends. They stocked up the mini fridge and the cabinet with some snacks and stuff, and then they put in a movie for the kids. Roy, Ross, and Robert set up some sleeping bags and talked and played games while watching the movie. Eventually they decided to play truth or dare.

(I'm sorry! This chapter is extremely short and its been forever since an update. I really apologize but I've been getting ready for my first year of college and haven't had much time to write. Writers block isn't helping me either. I post lots of art and stuff on Instagram since art helps me destress more than writing.
