Friends to the End

Video Games

 "I do! I do!" Roy exclaimed excitedly.

"Video games?" Robert questioned.

"Yeah you know, like Minecraft and Roblox." Ross said.

"I don't know what those are." Robert replied.

"You know who Mario is though, right?" Roy asked.

"I don't." Robert responded.

"Please tell me you at least know what Tetris is. If you don't you have to at least know Pong." Ross said.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about." Robert replied. Ross and Roy looked at each other.

"Robert, we're gonna teach you how to play some video games, okay?" Roy asked.

"What is a video game?" Robert asked.

"It's like a show or movie, but you get to control some characters and stuff." Ross explained.

"Oh." Robert said. Roy walked over and handed him a controller for the switch. Then Ross put in Mariokart so they could play. Roy showed Robert all the different controls and such. After a few rounds Robert started getting the hang of it and won a race.

"I got first!" Robert exclaimed excitedly.

"Good job Robert!" Roy said happily.

"Can we play again?" Robert asked. Roy nodded.

"Of course! Unless Ross says no." Roy replied looking to Ross.

"You guys can play, I'm gonna go see if Kevin came home yet." Ross responded. Roy and Robert started another round and Ross walked downstairs. Ross reached the bottom of the stairs just as Kevin walked in the door.

"Welcome back Kevin." Ross said smiling a bit.

"Thanks Ross." Kevin replied smiling back, "Oh by the way I have news about those Spooky Bullies."

"Good or bad news?" Ross asked.

"A bit of both. Which do you want to hear first?" Kevin questioned.

"Bad news first." Ross replied.

"They know where we live and said they're gonna break in." Kevin said.

"Oh fantastic." Ross replied sarcastically, "What's the good news?"

"Your dad texted me saying he was gonna have John stay here for a while." Kevin replied.

"So that's means police will be living at our house." Ross said.

"Bingo. We'll be safe from them. I have a feelin' they don't wanna be arrested." Kevin stated.

"Good." Ross said, "Hey Kevin?"

"Yeah Ross?" Kevin questioned.

"Uh.. I know you're Roy's big brother, but can I pretend you're also mine? I've always wanted a big brother." Ross replied.

"Of course!" Kevin exclaimed happily. He smiled at Ross and Ross smiled back.

"Thanks." Ross said happily.

"You're welcome. Oh and your dad mentioned that your birthday is coming up, right?" Kevin asked.

"Yup! In four days I think." Ross responded.

"Any ideas of what you want?" Kevin asked.

"Well I've always wanted decorations and things to put in my treehouse. It doesn't have anything in it right now besides a bookshelf and a tv." Ross replied.

"I think I can arrange to get you some cool stuff." Kevin stated.

"Really?!" Ross asked excitedly.

"Of course! Your my little brother now alongside Roy. You deserve some cool stuff." Kevin answered.

"Oh thank you thank you thank you!" Ross exclaimed hugging Kevin. Kevin laughed a little and hugged Ross back.

Small Timeskip -

Ross ran upstairs and into his room. Roy and Robert had just finished playing another round of Mariokart.

"Oh hey Ross." Robert said.

"Hey guys! Roy! We're pretend brothers now!" Ross exclaimed.

"Really?" Roy questioned.

"Yeah! Kevin said he would be my big brother too!" Ross replied.

"Cool!" Roy exclaimed happily.

"Yeah! He said he's gonna get me some cool stuff for my treehouse for my birthday!" Ross said happily.

"You have a treehouse?" Roy and Robert asked at the same time.

"Yeah, it doesn't have much in it right now, but I do have one!" Ross responded.

"Can we see it?" Robert inquired.

"Yeah! Sure!" Ross replied. He walked over to his window and opened it. There was a small wooden walkway that was connected to the treehouse. Ross walked to the treehouse motioning for his two friends to follow. Robert and Roy followed Ross into his tree house. 

(I'm sorry this chapter was so short!! I've been having terrible writers block and that is of course affecting my ability to write this story. I have more ideas for the next part of the story, but I'm also working on the pilot of my YouTube series so that will be taking up some time. I'll try and update soon with college coming up and such.)
