"Who are you?" I narrowed my eyes at him as I sat up on my elbows. What seemed like a headache automatically caused my head to drop, and I groaned lightly in discomfort. The same two large hands pressed my shoulders back down onto the creaking bed. He smiled sweetly at me, and for a second, I thought I met pity in his eyes.
"Well if you really must know," he laughed lightly, "I'm Liam. I believe we have crossed paths in the near past."

My headwasa blazing explosion as memories were flamed back to life in the compression of the cultivated container.
That night, when I had been admitted to Niall's room, with an excruciating ache in my chest and a doctor that I could vaguely remember checking my condition, I was half asleep, ears ringing terribly with every sound created. Thinking back to the moment, I could remember the Tainted Angel conversing with a man, and, with curiosity that had been aroused, I opened my eyes.
I was greeted with a man slightly taller than the Angel himself, a built figure that appeared capable of fighting off anything that attacked him, and a neatly placed quiff that slanted upwards slightly on his head. His accent wasn't thick, however, his lips curled over every word like thick syrup as it dripped with respect for the Angel, and even so, he spoke with his head high, confidence ringing in every word he pronounced.
That was, of course, until he was towered over threateningly by the terrifying words of Niall. I could remember Liam speaking to the Angel about the physical problems I held, but his arousal got the best of him when he spoke subtly of the lust he felt for me.
As Liam currently felt for my pulse rate, I found it strange, how someone as altruistic as him could be spoken to in such a terrible way. I couldn't understand the smallest bit why Niall took his words so seriously. After all, he didn't care for me. All he offered me was his icy, hard gaze and clenched fists to stop himself from releasing his infinite anger towards me.
But right now, I couldn't allow myself to think of an Angel's mistreating actions that affected my sanity. I could only smile at the memory of Liam stuttering over his words and apologising desperately to Niall after being yelled at with strong authority.
I shook my head and gritted my teeth in pleasurable annoyance.
Hell really was fucked up. And that included everyone who wasn't against it.
"What are you thinking about?" Liam broke me out of my stance, and I looked up shyly to meet the burnished cinnamon colour of his eyes.
"Everything," I whispered, and I blinked once before setting my gaze back at the hand that played with the hem of my sleeve.
"Scarlett," he rasped softly before placing his hand over mine, thumb rubbing the back of it. I glared down at our intertwined hands, and reading my unappreciative expression, he retreated completely. I could care less if he was the most compassionate man alive, or if he understood my feelings and emotions from top to bottom. I knew nothing about him still. I wouldn't trust him.
He sighed before I noticed him rubbing his eyes with the back if his hands. "Alright, I'm sorry. I do understand what you're going through. You have every right to remain silent, to cry, to scream, to throw yourself and to break every object you get hold of. But it does get better." His first few words calmed me down slightly; only slightly. But that was until he told me it get better that my breath got caught in my throat and I stiffened entirely.
How could someone like him say something like that?
"It gets better?" I started, my voice low as I spoke. He furrowed his eyebrows together as he set his eyes on me. "I have spent almost a year suffering here, knowing that there are others, as human as myself, struggling for their life down on earth. These uncharitable monsters, Louis and Niall," I cringed at their names. "They disgust me. They capture tens of hundreds of servants everyday, and they demolish every human they find on earth, sending them straight to hell. And you tell me it will get better?" Liam was silent for a few moments as he pondered my words. I glared at him as his fist clenched around the plain white sheets by my leg, and his jaw stiffened before he moisturised his lips with the wetness of his tongue.
