"Your ribs hurt, darling?" he murmured against me, and I nodded, hypnotized by his touch and soft, delicate words. My hate for the creature before me was indestructable, a feeling so powerful yet outragious any man would misunderstand my explanation for my hatred towards the devil.

But, I did not try to stop him.

With passion, his hands grabbed my nightgown, pulling it up as he trailed kisses down my body, and I shifted in sudden discomfort. Never had I been exposed to a human before, let alone the devil himself.

My thoughts were interrupted suddenly when he placed hot kisses along my abdomen. And, unable to help myself, I subconsciously threw my head back, mouth agape as I freely released a moan.

"I'll make you feel better, baby."

--------

I shuddered. My stomach was a compressed container of both discomfort and ecstasy. I could not help but push aside my awkwardness, and leave my hormonic strategies to fend for themselves.

I was an abnormal girl. The fact I'd never been intimate with a single soul would amuse the devil, I knew. Never had my thoughts crossed paths with the powerful chain of lust. It was always just me and my brother, and our meadow by the river and our home.

From the sadness in people's eyes, I could tell Caleb and I were the only ones out there with hope for the future. By the time we'd attempted at making people realise that this wasn't the end, we realised it was too late. Everybody's heart was a lifeless pump of rusty muscle. Caleb's and I were the only ones that could easily enfold memories and smile widely just by the sight of each other. We were simply two inseperable children with a shadow of determination to follow on.

But now, I was the claimed one, living under the hands of two uncharitable monsters, while my brother most likely rotted in the pits of hell, still the selfless boy he'd once been.

The Devil neared me by the second, but I couldn't tolerate it. He was darkness, the definition of evil. Destruction and corruption was all he was capable of. To kill was his passion, but peace and happiness was my wish. We were two incompatible creatures bounded together by either fate or mistake, and we were beginning to cross the border.

We were in a tunnel of complete and utter darkness, trying to find the end of it, where the light would be.

Every tunnel must come to an end.

Apart from the tunnel we inhabited of course, which happened to be a never ending course of sadness, where light would never be seen.

Ever.

Biting on my bottom lip, I violently shook my head and lay my hands against his chest. With one sniff, I pushed him off and whispered, "no." He held my wrists in defiance, and with one smirk, placed them over my head. I closed my eyes, my conscience giving in to his orders, but my heart spoke what was right. "No. Please let me go." He clenched his jaw, obviously infuriated by my disobeying manner.

His blunt expression gave me no clear response, and only when he left my side did I stand to my legs and dust my nightgown.

"I must say, your ribs are quite the fast healers," he finally spoke, after long moments of awkward glances and the sound of exerting flames. I began to walk away, and he chuckled. It was low, quiet, but it's intensity was an outlaw to the sound of fire and faint footsteps. I shuddered, and turned to him.

"I'd rather a disgusting creature like you didn't touch me, thank you very much," I scoffed. He smiled devilishly once more, and only when I reached the large door did a hand grip my arm and slam me against the nearest wall.
