TEEN WOLF S1 E5' THE TELL'
CHAPTER THIRTEEN.
READING ALWAYS SEEMED like a, somewhat, escape method. However, it seemed like it hasn't been working lately. Comfort and known patterns Evee would take, seemed to fade away with Beacon Hills on her side. At times it seemed like Beacon Hills was that one character in that movie that you weren't sure if they were the antagonist or not just because the movie was way too confusing to figure out anything. Beacon Hills was way too confusing to figure out. Or, maybe, it wasn't totally a towns fault: mainly hers...
She kept ignoring the obvious. She kept ignoring the fact that Stiles was right ( which she really didn't like admitting ). Was it really helping her? Not really. I suppose ignoring stuff before it went away was how she dealt with things that were on her mind. Was it a totally great tactic? In an unbiased objective, probably not. Ignoring the problem didn't seem like it was going to go away anytime soon. There were practically signs where the girl was sitting. Sitting in Lydia's room where she was ignoring Gemma which, in the end, was ignoring the problem.
What such great progress.
The words printed on the thin pages of Evee's hardcover book seemed to be read going through one ear and just leaving the other. She might argue it was because of all the stress she had been under lately but, mainly, it was the fact she had a sudden urge to call Lydia. It wasn't strange, they were obviously friends. But, this urge was different. It was more of a voice. Like one of the voices she had heard the day prior, at the clinic. The Sharp girl slammed her book shut, having enough of the book and quickly took out her phone and searched through her contacts for the name Lydia. Once her fingertip had pressed against the contact, Evee took not even a second, to tap the 'Call' symbol in the girls contact. There was a few seconds of ringing before Lydia answered the call with a sigh.
"Okay, didn't know you hated me that much." Evee joked as the strawberry blonde simply ignored the girls statement as she retorted with an annoyed tone.
"What do you want? I'm kind of busy right now." Lydia looked at the mirror as she fixed the lipstick she had applied on for her selfies. It seemed like taking photos was more important than talking to Evee: typical Lydia.
"Let me guess? You're going to watch the notebook again and you're taking selfies." Evee specified which gained a frown from Lydia who simply shut her hand mirror. Was she obvious or did Evee just know her too well?
"No," Lydia stayed silent for a moment trying to come up with some reasonable excuse,"We're watching Hoosiers."
"The basketball movie?" Evee asked with an uncertain tone. In what world would Lydia Martin willingly watch a basketball movie? Even Jackson wouldn't be able to convince her to watch a sports movie.
