CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE.

SHERIFF STILINSKI HAD immediately dropped Evee back home after Lydia had appeared up from the woods. Driving the three teens in his car, there was an eerie silence as Lydia seemed dazed. No one dared to utter a word, just in case Lydia would say something: she didn't.

With a quick 'Thank You' and Stiles' lingering eyes on her as she walked away, she entered back to the house she may have grown to resent. It didn't seem to make sense to move, but at the same time, a part of her wished someone had packed her and moved her to Greenland.

Aleena would have been a good choice, but, to the total of honesty, maybe Evee shouldn't have trusted people as fast as she did. When it came to trust, Stiles and Evee had it differently. Stiles always hesitated to trust anyone, the only reason Stiles had gave in into telling Evee about what happened to Scott the night in the woods was from deep persistence and the fact that Stiles obviously still had a thing for her. Evee, on the other hand, trusted people way too easily. A concerning amount of easy. But now everything that had happened to her at Beacon Hills, everything she's keeping to herself, it really brings up the question if she'd turn into Stiles; trusting no one.

When Evee had got her extra pair of keys that was always in her bad and unlocked the front door, Aleena didn't seem to be in the main area. Probably in her room, Gemma's old room, or something, Evee thought. She really didn't feel like questioning her well being with Aleena tonight, so she was beyond thankful and just slipped back in her room. After catching up with some assigned reading for her English class, writing notes for Psychology, and taking a bath, she slumped back to her bed that had not been folded neatly in weeks. Actually her whole room seemed like a mess.

She didn't take much care to get up and actually fix things up as she groaned, turning off her bedside table light. That was, until she heard a light knock on her door. She instantly turned back on her lamp, her heart skipping a beat for some apparent reason, only to see Aleena standing there. Evee calmed down as she sighed,"Oh...it's just you."

"Don't be too excited," Aleena sarcastically exclaimed as Evee scoffed with a fake smile.

"Wouldn't want to be...really."

Aleena sighed, not moving her place as she made the weirdest offer Evee had ever heard, aside from Stiles─who says the weirdest things sometimes,"How do you feel about moving?"

Evee furrowed her eyebrows with a chuckle,"I'd say...maybe we should talk so I know you're not a psychotic bitch like Kate Argent. Wouldn't want to get buried like her because you killed a bunch of innocent people."
