CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE.
WALKING TOWARDS THE hospital, Stiles and Evee's pace were consistent with silence. Stiles eyes would linger over to her time to time, but he still was silent. And, Evee, wanted so bad to just stay silent. But, that wasn't a thing that could work at the moment. Especially if Stiles was willing to lose an opportunity of first line.
To Stiles' uttermost shock Evee had blurted out, glancing over to him,"Look, I get if you won't take my advice but, you still have time to make the game. You should go."
The shock was obvious in the Stilinski boys face when he continued the silence, he only spoke a few seconds after, with a stutter, when Evee had finally looked away from the boy,"Well...I already made my decision. Plus, tonight proves that Coach has a bit of faith in me or he just had no one else...," Stiles had given the girl a smile before speaking up once again,"And, you don't have to say anything either, but...I just want to know...," Stiles had cleared his throat, the two stopping when they were in front of the hospital doors,"Did it...mean anything to you? The kiss."
Evee faced the boy, hands in her jackets pockets. To be honest to herself, for once, Evee knew that both saying nothing and saying everything would just bring more harm than good. Stiles seemed to almost want to plead for an answer, but the Sharp girl was too hesitant and scared if she could really tell him. Moving her hair away from her face Evee spoke,"Um...no it didn't really...I think we should go in now."
Stiles quickly nodded with a small smile as the duo finally walked into the hospital, finding it to no surprise, empty. When they continued the walking and still found nothing, Stiles had immediately grabbed his phone.
With a perplexed expression and furrowed eyebrows, Evee questioned him,"You're going to call her?"
"I'm calling Derek," when Stiles began ringing the mans phone, the Sharp girl couldn't help but snicker at the boys words. Not saying a word but simply laughing, Stiles was now the one to be confused,"What...? Who else am I supposed to call? The alpha?"
"Nah," Evee chuckled once more," I just got major déjà vu right now...," The Sharp girl admitted, thinking back to when Stiles had been the one questioning if she had Derek's number. And now, it seemed like their places were changed.
Before he could say anything back to the girl, Derek had finally answered the call, leading Stiles to immediately speak,"I can't find her."
What?
Hearing the muffled words from Stiles call, Evee continued walking next to the boy, making sure to view her surroundings for anybody. Yet to spot anyone, Stiles spoke once more,"Yeah. I said I can't find her."
Look, ask for Jennifer. She's been looking after my uncle.
When the two had walked over to where Peter Hale was supposed to be at and found no trace of him, Evee was quick to talk,"There was a literal 6% chance Derek's uncle would've not been here," Evee turned her head over to Stiles who had his phone placed near his ear,"How the hell did he met the 6%?"
