Comfort!
———PATIENTLY WAITING, VALENTINA WAS SAT ON DOMINIC'S BED, HER LEGS CROSSED AS SHE AWKWARDLY SAT WAITING for him to arrive home. It was one in the morning, and she had yet to have any contact from him, and had began to get worried.
Upon hearing the front door open and footsteps come towards her room, Valentina sat up in excitement, happy to hear that he's not lying dead in the streets.
"Hi—," Valentina began to greet him, before getting interrupted by a tight embrace. Happy to be in his arms, knowing that they could make her forget everything that had happened that day. She wrapped her arms around his waist tightly.
The moment was disturbed when Dominic released a nervous breath. "I cheated on you," he whispered.
Valentina pulled away, already feeling tears come to her eyes. "You're lying. That's not a funny joke, Dominic," she told him, her voice shaking.
The older man began to leave the room, going downstairs to his kitchen, Valentina hot on his tail, watching as he began pulling out a drink. "Dominic, you better be fucking lying to me!"
"I'm not lying," he told her, walking up to her, stopping when she took a step back.
"Don't come near me."
Shaking his head, Dominic could feel himself close to breaking down, disappointed in himself for ruining their relationship. "It meant nothing at all. She was just a random prostitute!"
"If it meant nothing then why did you do it?! Was this not enough? Am I not enough?" She shouted at him.
"Of course you are. You're more than enough—you're everything that keeps me going."
"Fuck you," Valentina shouted, grabbing his whiskey bottle and smashing it on the floor.
Dominic stood there, watching as his love broke down only a metre away from him. His closed his eyes, shaking his head to himself.
"You piece of shit!"
"Are you done yet?" Dominic questioned quietly, his voice cracking.
"You asshole! You're a fucking whore!"
"Well, you spread your legs for me everyday. What does that make you?" He spoke, immediately regretting his response as his head snapped to the side, a sting forming on his cheek.
"Why?! Why did you do it?" She cried, falling to her knees onto the cold tiled floor.
"Your father. He told me he wanted him to marry you," he started to tell her, before she cut him off.
"Fuck, Dominic," she whispered. "Am I really that awful, that you can't stand the thought of marrying me and you had to sleep with another woman?"
"No, darling—," Dominic began to say.
"Do not call me that."
Nodding his head slowly, he explained "It's just, he told me so suddenly. I was still angry from Michael and I was so stressed. I went to the club and drunk and kept drinking. Next minute I was with this girl, and I couldn't even remember anything."
Valentina slowly brought her head up. "So, she took advantage of you?"
"No—"
"Dominic, do you do remember or not?"
"No, I don't remember—"
"That means she fucking took advantage of you Dominic! You can't even remember agreeing, how do you know she didn't take advantage?" Valentina asked him, all traces of betrayal wiped away, instead replaced with hatred for this unknown women.
Valentina lead Dominic to his room, sitting on his bed. Gripping both his hands tightly, Valentina brought one hand up to wipe the tears from under his eyes. "Dominic, I'm going to need you to tell me everything you remember, ok?"
"Why? What's happening, Val?" Dominic questioned softly.
"I think that bitch took advantage of your drunken state. I'm not certain, but that means she would've assaulted — raped you. That's not ok! We have to do something," Valentina told him. "Dominic, think really hard. Did you consent or not?"
The young girl watched intently as Dominic thought about it, before connecting eyes with her and shaking his head no. Valentina covered her mouth with her hands, before crying bringing him into a hug.
"She's not going to get away this. I won't allow that to happen." Valentina whispered to a broken Dominic, spending the rest of the night to comfort him.

Hello! Valentina here,
This chapter went through many different ways, but I finally decided on what you just read. I wrote this to bring awareness to sexual assault with men. Over all sexual assault / being raped is one of the worst and most horrible things that could happen to you. And I would know first hand.
Majority of men do not speak up if they have been assaulted, due to the toxic masculinity of other men or even women saying inconsiderate lines for example "You should've enjoyed it" "Man up bro" "Stop being dramatic", and many more.
Please do not take this the wrong way, by thinking I'm saying it's easy for women to come forwards about it, it's not for anyone! But since newer times, it's gradually becoming more and more common that men fear opening up about what's happened. This chapter is bringing awareness to sexual assault in general.
If you are a victim, and never tell yourself it's your fault! Because it's not. Please speak out, there will always be someone to help you, even if it's a stranger. Sometimes the people you don't know help the most.
Remember, it's never the victim's fault.
