THE WEDDING DAY. YOUR WEDDING DAY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HAPPIEST DAY YOU EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR loved ones by your side, right? Valentina and Dominic struggled to maintain a fake smile as people approached them, wishing the rest of their lives well. It was hard while they were under the supervision of him.

Him. Watching and analysing their every movement, their every conversation, their every kiss shared.

Valentina faked a smile as she pecked Phoenix's cheek, rambling on nervously how she would see him when she returned back from her honeymoon in a months time.

She silently prayed that she would return back safely, Dominic unharmed by her side.

The newly wedded couple drifted away from the crowd to have some private time, feigned an normal act as they picked up some snacks.

"You need to act more natural, my love."

Rolling her eyes the bride stuffed her mouth with strawberries, taking a shot of a cotton candy alcoholic drink. Dominic stood behind her, massaging her shoulders releasing the tension that had built up.

"I am remaining very natural."

"Did you just see the way you was rambling to Phoenix! He asked if you was pregnant, that's how odd you're being." Dominic rubbed Valentina's arm in a comforting manner, "If you're worried about him he's not going to pull any tricks tonight. It would be to obvious."

"My cousin likes to jump to conclusions you should know this by now. Additionally, you do not know him like I do," she told her husband, her voice displaying panic. Picking up another drink she wondered off into the crowd.

A few hours had passed and the new married couple were waving goodbyes from the decorated Mercedes-Benz 540K. Floral wreaths sat at the front and back of the car, with white ribbon dangling from behind.

Once they had thanked everyone for attending they took of for their journey towards the hotel all their luggage was in for their honeymoon.

Dominic tightened his grip around Valentina as a unsettling feeling formed in his stomach, he felt as their driver picked up the speed significantly on the isolated road.

"Excuse me, could you drive slower please, I just feel a little nauseous after all those drinks," Valentina laughed at herself, oblivious to Dominic fearful expression.

He had no time to react before the driver muttered a small apology, speeding up gradually before they crashed into a concrete wall. The car harshly collided with the wall, causing it to flip, rolling multiple times before coming to a abrupt stop.

Dominic moaned in misery, raising a hand to his head, feeling cool blood drip down it. He turned his head to check on his wife, pain shooting through his entire body. That all sub-sided as he saw Valentina laying unconscious, still strapped into her seat. She was a ghostly pale, cuts and blood covering her body. The once white wedding dress soaked up the blood that leaked from her stomach.

"No! No, no, no. My love you're going to be alright, I'm coming to you ok."

Unclipping his seatbelt with some struggle, he dropped out of his seat due to the car remaining upside down. He used all his strength to pull himself out, stumbling once he did so, over to his loves side.

He began kicking at the door to loosen it, a warm feeling crept up on him. Dominic's eyes widened at the fire that had caught, almost teasing him as it travelled towards the gas leak. If it reached the car it would cause an explosion.

Killing Valentina.

With this fear lingering in his mind, he increased his force to remove the barrier that was restricting him from saving his wife. It felt like an eternity before the dented door clicked.

It had opened.

Not a second was wasted as Dominic undid Valentina's seat belt, carrying her out of the car running to get a safe distance as it exploded. The force caught up with the groom, knocking him to the ground.

Sirens were heard in the distance causing Dominic to mentally thank God. His phone beeped signalling he did a text.

Do not underestimate me next time.

It was him.
