Layla's POV

Its Victoria's birthday today.. so me, Anna and Sasha had decided that we would sneak up into Victoria's room and wake her up. But not with the cliche gifts.

Because we are all Bestie's we decided to do it our way. I was mentally grinning evilly. Tori is gonna be so pissed. Muahahaha!

We all met at the hallway of Victoria's room and quietly snuck in her room. She was sleeping like a dead girl.

We started with our plan.

We caked both her hands with whipped cream and set the cake we brought at the side table.

Sasha started tickling her nose and eyes with a feather. We were waiting impatiently but Tori only stirred at first. I rolled my eyes.
Heavy sleeper.

This time sasha literally stuck the feather in her nose and I cringed at how it must have felt. But it worked and Tori slapped her hand on her face and woke up. While we all burst out laughing loudly.

She groaned and sat up.

We stopped laughing and shouted together. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORI.." she glared at us playfully.

"Thanks for the 'lovely' gift guys." Sarcasm dripping in her words.

She went to wipe her face with her other hand but more cream was slapped on her face.

We doubled into our fits of laughter.

That. Was. Hillarious!

Omg she looked so hillarious right now. I wish I had my mobile with me, I would have clicked some pictures.

As if on cue Anna heard my thoughts and started clicking pictures and winked at me.

After all the laughing fit and Tori's grumbling was over, we handed her tissue's but she went directly to the sink and washed her face and came out. We placed the cake in front of her and sang to her as she cut the cake.

"Happy birthday babe! Love you. Have a happy life with your mate & dont forget us when you move in with your mate." I said hugging her and sniffling a little. My baby is all grown up now.

"Hey.. Dont be such baby Lay. I'm always gonna be there for you no matter what. And thank you for such a nice start of my day. Thanks to all you guys" she grinned and after that Anna and Sash wished her, she yelled group hug. We all hugged her immediately.

This felt nice.

Then we left her room and decided to meet in her room at 4 o'clock. Today maybe Victoria was going to leave us all. Keyword - may be. I dont know what i'll do without her. But its her day today so I wont make her sad.

Even if she only thinks about the positive side about having a mate she doesn't know that life is not always as we want it to be.

Being an Alpha's daughter without a mother, her father pampered her and gave her everything she wanted.

She is just a naive and a sweet little girl. If something bad happens to her she'll be heartbroken.

I sighed from all the tension as I thought about the conversation with the Moon Goddess.

Flashback

I was sleeping, when the Moon Goddess came in my dream.

At first I saw a white light coming from afar when a lady in white - silverish silk gown, looking almighty and glowing came forward, in a proper view. She looked breathtakingly beautiful.

"My child, I have come here to alert you. Something is going to happen and I have chosen you to do the deed of protecting Tori. She is special, my child."

"But what is going to happen Moon Goddess. I dont understand anything." I asked politely with respect.

"Time will tell you everything dear. You have to be strong from now on. Now i'll take my leave."

With that she vanished and I woke up startled. Gasping for air, sweat beading my forehead.

Flashback Over.

It had left me confused & hazy. With dread in my heart.

It was as if there was ticking time bomb, waiting to explode at given minute.

I puffed out air in frustation. This is going to be difficult.
