Chapter ~ 9

Leo's POV

After that whole drama in the dinning room finally everything had settled down. And I was seating beside my mate happily eating my dinner. Its was mouth watering as ever. While having my food I would sneak a glance at my mate every 2 mins. It was like as if I couldn't get enough of looking at her beautiful face. Right now, I'm totally ecstatic.

As I was looking at her, how her pink full lips were closing around the spoon making my lower buddy twitch. Immediately I looked away and took deep breathes hoping to calm my hormones when suddenly an idea popped in my mind.

I nudged her hand to catch her attention.

"Would you like to take walk with me after dinner?" I asked her slowly. Hoping she would say yes. And dreading if she said No.

She smiled at me and took my breathe away. "Yes, I would"

I nodded at her not trusting what I might do to those lucious lips of hers. We male wolf's are very protective and possesive of our mate. Its like being a hormonal teenager around her. Its really hard to control the lust we feel and the urge to mark her is very strong within me. Sighing I continued eating my dinner.

As dinner was over, Layla said.

"I'll be back in 10 mins. We'll meet at the door."

And before I could reply, that stupid friend of her dragged her to their room. I quickly mindlinked Amanda and told her to place a blanket and a candle and matchbox in the backyard for my mate and me.

"Leo" I heard our Alpha call me.

"Yes Alpha" I replied.

"Have you arranged everything for the ball tomorrow?"

"Yes Alpha, everything is ready to be set"

"Good. And is the border patrol sorted out?"

"Yes, Jason and Chase are carrying out the border patrol with Rick and John."

"Okay. You can rest for the day then." Said Richard. Yes, I call him by his name but only when my family is around. He's actually friendly when he is not in his Alpha mode. But once he enters the character its all business for him.

Our pack is the largest over here. With nearly 500 pack members. I started making my way to my room when I remembered that I have to meet my mate. I rushed towards the door to find her standing there and just admiring the fountain, splashing little water.

"Hey" I said slowly.

She looked up and shyly said, "Hi"

I offered her my hand and she put her hand in mine and we started walking around the garden. I was loving the sparks and feeling content with my mate beside me.

"So how old are you?"

"I'll be 18 in 2 month. What about you?"

"I'm already 18"

"Ohk.."

We reached the backyard and I took her to the blanket.

"Do you wanna sit and talk. I thought it would be comfortable that way."

"Ofcourse" she said blushing a little.

Oh, how I love to see her blush because of me.

"Lets ask questions to get to know each other but I'll ask first" she said grinning and I chuckled at her excitement.

And soon after questioning back and forth we just sat together cuddling and enjoying the peace looking at the stars.

"You know.. I'm so happy that I found you. I never had expected to find you so soon. As you know our pureblood is being tainted due to we mating with humans. I'm just thankful to the moon goddess for giving me you." I said and kissed her forehead for the first time and her cheeks turned crimson. My lips tingled with the contact.

"I feel the same. Now that I have you I dont need to worry about anything." She said.

After a minute of silence she became a little antsy. So I asked her whats bothering her.

"I-Uh. I wanted to ask when are you going to m-mark me?" She stuttered.

"Belle, I would never mark you without your consent. I will wait until you are ready for it. I know we just met and dont know much about each other but I'm willing to anything that keeps you happy" I say truthfully to her and she hugs me. And holy goodness! Didn't that feel awesome having her hug me. I quickly wrapped my arms around her. Enjoying her being in my arms.

"Thank you so much! I appreciate your efforts and I will tell you myself whenever I'm ready." God.. I'm going to turn into a lovesick puppy now.

After that, silence engulfed us. Both enjoying being in each others arms. After a while she fell asleep. So I picked her up and blew off the candle and entered in.

I didn't know where her room was so I took her to my room and placed her on my bed and was about to turn around but she stirred a bit.

"Sleep beside me. I dont want to miss your warmth" she said in her sleepy voice.

"Ok.. If you say." I said smiling and removed my tshirt and pants, being only in my boxers and slid in the bed next to her and pulled the covers on us.

She snuggled and I put my hand behind her head as a pillow and circled another around her waist. Her scent lulled me to a very peaceful sleep.

Layla's POV

I woke up due to some noise coming from downstairs. I groaned cursing under my breathe and tried rolling on my other side but noticed that my head was on a bare chest. Bare chest!? Ohmigod! But then the memories of last night came crashing.

"Good Morning Beautiful" his sleepy, raspy morning voice was so sexy. Gosh!!

"Good Morning" I said shyly.

I turned around and saw the time on the watch placed beside on the table. Its was 8 in the morning. Seriously!?

"Actually I forgot to tell you that there' s ceremony tonight. There's a ball so you need to be ready by 7 or 7.30." He informed me.

I pouted. "But I dont have any dress suitable for the occassion." I said.

"You can go for shopping then. I'll tell my sister to go with you. That way you two will meet and get to know each other." He said hopefully.

"Okay.. But I'm gonna take Tori also with me." And I noticed the way he grimaced at her name.

"Hey.. Dont make that face. She's my bestest friend. And if it werent because of her that I'm here we would have never met. And she's just protective about me. You cant judge her already." I said frowning.

"Okay, M sorry its just.. she got me pissed yesterday."

"Hmm.. Now i'll head back and inform Tori about it. But how will I meet your sister?" I asked him.

"Dont worry, i'll inform her and she'll find you." He said.

"Ohk, see you later" I said kissing his cheeks and getting up and waving at him, I exited his bedroom, already missing being near him but still happy that I have him.
