Chapter 12

James POV.

Victoria had been in New York for 2 days now and we were all worried for her. Even if we did send her there so that she wouldn't have to face that shiznit here, we knew what her condition would be. I just hope it helps her, being away for a while.

Everytime I saw him I felt like beating him to pulp but I knew that wouldn't be a good idea since he is also an Alpha. And that can lead to a war between our packs. I had to control my wolf each and everytime because whenever I would see him I would remember the way Tori looked when he rejected her, the way he behaved with her and the way he broke her heart, her dream. I couldn't do anything to help her.

Things were a little dull in the pack since that party. Everyone knew what Tori was going through even if she appeared tough.

And the most biggest shock was Victoria's wolf. Even if no one talks about it in open I have been doing research on it. Because we all need answers. Pack members are also discussing among themselves. Reading old books in our library because we cant find about our history on internet. But till now I have found very little information.

We have Elementals who have special power but Victoria is.. has immense power. She is the most powerful wolf. She can manupilate Air, Water, Earth surface as well electricity or you can say some kind of power that illuminates from her. But how is that possible? She isnt even Royal blood or related. Because such powers are only carried by the Royals!

The problem is no one knows which is Royal Family or where they are. Centuries ago there was a war between the royals and rogues who wanted their authority, which caused bloodshed and chaos. Therefore Moon Goddess decided to keep that secret about who were the Royal Family.

I cant even imagine what would happen if others come to know about this. I'm pretty sure there are greedy dogs everywhere who want power for themselves. Or what threats Victoria will have to face when the truth is out.

Currently I'm in the office. I'm taking the Alpha position after 2 days. And this was decided by dad all of sudden. I'm sure he has a good reason for his decisions. I'm supposed to call Victoria to inform her about the ceremony.

But I didn't call Victoria. I dont think if it is a good idea to bring her here again. As we all know, that prick would be here and we cant help it. So I decided to call Layla and tell her to convience Victoria to come. But before I could make a call...

"Alpha! Sorry for barging in. But there's a problem. We have been attacked." Cody entered my office looking frantic.

I bolted up from my seat.

"All our pack fighters report to me now! In the living room." I ordered quickly in Alpha tone through our packlink.

"Take our Beta and few pack members and handle the situation for a while." I told Cody and left to the living room to see everyone gathered. I didn't waste any time in formalities.

"We have been attacked. We need to control the situation to keep our pack safe." I said to everyone in front of me.

"Amy and Kellan take all the remaining children and ladies to the safehouse." I ordered them and took off towards the backyard, shifting immediately and running towards the borders.

By the look of it there were about 150 rogues. Everything was a frenzy. Rogues were pouring one after another.

I spotted dad fighting two large wolfs. But not as big as dad. But still they were two. Probably one of them is the Alpha of rogues. So I finished the wolf in front of me and sprinted towards dad to help him. But I was interrupted by another rogue which was small, hence I defeated him quickly by snapping his neck and turned to dad but he wasnt there. I looked around to find him on the ground and blood seeping from his head and the wolf standing upon my dad and the other one seemed to disappear from there.

Rage filled me. I let out an angry growl before charging towards them and slammed into the wolf head first, tackling him to the ground. Then I picked him up with my teeth and slammed him into a tree and gained a whimper from him. He got up and tried to attack me but I was faster, I quickly pierced my teeth into his neck effectively snapping it. Bloody rogues!

"Anthony! Take the Alpha to pack doctor, Now!" I ordered a pack member who I knew would safely take dad to the infirmary.

Victoria's POV

I was sitting here for a while with dad and Jamie. He looked tired a bit but he wasnt leaving this room.

"Jamie I think you should take some rest now. I'm here with dad. You dont need to worry." I said to him softly.

"I guess you're right. I'll just freshen up and be back." He said getting up.

"Dont forget to eat boy.. or else I wont stop nagging you until you eat." I said giving him a serious look. He nodded and exited and I let out a breath of relief that he agreed.

I put my head on the bed and closed my eyes for 5 mins. But next thing I notice is someone picking me up and carrying me upstairs. I snuggle into the warmth of the body, I look up to see Jamie giving me a weak smile and I offered him a sleepy smile of mine.

"You should sleep for a while. You need it." He said to me and I nodded in agreement.

He opened the room to my door and placed me on bed placing the covers over me. And the last thought on my mind was My Mate. I want to tell everyone about him.

3. I'm sorry for the late updates. I have something on my mind which is making me hard to concentrate on the book. And also there are so many weddings to attend because its the wedding season here. I'm so pissed wearing those traditional heavy dresses. *phew*

P.S Sorry if this chapter is crappy. I promise i'll make the next chapter good and happy.
