03 ➪ 𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬.

AUTHOR'S PERSPECTIVE. ➪ you sat alone at an empty bench outside, holding nothing but your phone in your hand, and your water bottle in the other. today was going great. first, you were late to your first period, your friends stood you up, and lastly your lunch fell to the ground. so now, you were starving, lonely, and annoyed.

you entertained yourself by kicking rocks with your shoes, and looking up at the scenery.

you soon noticed oikawa and his group of friends walking outside, talking, and laughing. he caught your eye and you caught his. you gave him an awkward smile accompanied by a small wave.

he did the same by flashing a smile and waving. not wanting to catch attention to yourself you sat on your phone pretending to text someone to seem like you're not an absolute loner at the moment.

you sat on your phone for a good 30 minutes doing nothing. you occasionally set your phone down to take a sip out of your water from time-to-time.

out of the corner of your eye you saw oikawa getting up from the wooden table him and his friends were sitting at and walked up to you. "hey" he said with a soft tone. a small "hi" left your lips.

"you seem kinda bored." he said with a chuckle. "oh really? what gave it away?" you gave him a sarcastic smirk. "haha very funny." he said taking a set next to you.

"so, what's up?" he asked. "well aren't you curious!" you said jokingly. he looked at you with serious eyes. "it's nothing serious!" you said in defense. "alright, but when you wanna talk about it dont come running to me!" he says teasing you. "dont worry, i wont." you said flashing a smile at him.

his cheeks were a slight pink even though your words were so bitter. you had such a big effect on him and you loved that.

the two of you sat there talking before iwaizumi came and snatched oikawa away, scolding him for leaving with no context. it was quite funny to watch.

"HOW DARE YOU!" oikawa yelled. "bro what?"iwaizumi said confused. "YOU SNATCHED ME AWAY FROM HER! WE WERE TALKING!" oikawa huffed.

a light blub clicked in iwaizumi's head. "oh yeah, well at least I wasn't the one who left the team without saying anything."

"oh, you act like you wouldn't just go up to your crush of TWO YEARS without saying anything cause your friends would make fun of you and creepily stare at you and your crush talking, CREEPING YOU OUT."

"we wouldn't do that!" iwaizumi said. oikawa crossed his arms. "you wouldn't?"

iwaizumi took a brief moment to answer that. "okay yeah we would."

"EXACTLY!" "well to be fair, it would be educational." oikawa rolled his eyes at his friend's idiotic response. "how so?"

"observing how you embarrass yourself  in front of y/n so we can make fun of you, thats how."

"right, right. thats not surprising."

the bells rings right as the conversation dies down, lucky for them.

"alright im going to class. cya at practice, DONT MAKE A FOOL OUT OF YOURSELF!" iwaizumi yelled sternly as he walked away headed towards his class.

"SHUT UP IWA"

meanwhile with y/n, she saw her friends and immediately scolded them for leaving her like that. but she had no idea what they were planning.

"AND SELINA! HOW COULD YOU" you said wiping fake tears from your eyes.

though you were angry you still managed to make your friends laugh. "im sorry! im sorry!" she said out of breath from laughing.

"YOU TOO AARON! I THOUGHT YOU WERE LOYAL!"

"i-i am! i just had some stuff happening."

your eyes suddenly widened. "YOU GUYS ARE PLANNING YOU SOMETHING ARENT YOU"

aaron started to speak but he was immediately shut down by selina covering his mouth. "huh? us? what! nooooo" selina said acting casual.

"ill see what you're up to eventually, im not being late to class because of you"you said jokingly rolling your eyes as you exited the hallway.

selina removed her hand from aaron's mouth and slapped him. "OW!" "you idiot! i told you not say anything!" 

"I JUST CAN'T HELP IT!" selina sighed. "we're doing this for the sake of y/n. now, behave."

"okay okay" he whined. "alright, now go to class!" selina yelled. aaron bolted away, scared of selina's harsh tone. 

a chuckle left her mouth. "what a dweeb. skipped a period just to be with a girl who doesn't even like him." 

she walked the empty, quiet halls to her class silently smiling to herself.
