Chapter 73 | Preparing for the Last Dance (Homecoming)

Saturday

Jacob was up from the morning in his backyard shooting hoops. His mom was on the phone to her sisters shouting in her language. It sounded like she was arguing but she was making jokes with them

Jacob messaged Wesley asking for a day off to shop for a suit for his last homecoming dance. He took himself for a walk since it was a nice hot day. When he got back he got himself ready and drove by Paris's to pick her up

When he arrived to Paris's he waited in his car until Paris showed up in 15 minutes. Paris got in his car while Jacob looked at her annoyed

Paris: "Heyy [Fixing her clothes and then turned to him and chuckled] What?"

Jacob: "Why'd you take so long?"

Paris: "Oh don't be mad. I was waxing myself" [She smirked]

Jacob: [He shook his head] "...Let's go swing by Simone's"

Once they got by Simone's, Paris messaged her as she comes out 2 mins after

Paris: "Heyy girl!!"

Simone: "Heyy! Are y'all ready?"

Paris: "Yess we areee" [She said getting excited]

Jacob: "Yeah... let's go"

Once they reached the mall Simone and Paris were chatting it up walking ahead of Jacob. Jacob just followed them as they stopped by like 8 shops within the first 10 minutes they reached. Jacob let out a few sighs then he peeped a store specifically for men's suits. He called out to them and let them know he's going to take a look through as they joined him

Jacob's POV
I wasn't gonna go to this cheesy last dance but if my friends are going, might as well. I mean it's our last time we gon have a good time together before graduation so I thought I'd go look me for a tux

Jacob looked through one section while Simone and Paris helped Jacob by searching through another section

Paris: "Ouu I like this one"

Simone: "Yeaa this looks niceee! It would suit Jacob's colour I think"

Paris: "Don't it tho... Jacob!" [She called out from across the store]

Jacob's head popped out as he walked over, bringing a plain black and white tuxedo with him

Jacob: "Yeah, wassup?"

Paris: [She picked out the suit] "How do you like this?"

Jacob: "It looks alright but I already found one"

Paris: "No! [She snatched his tuxedo off him and held the out the black and navy blue tuxedo she found] This one looks hot! I think this would look better!"

Simone: "It would Jacob [She chuckled] And I'm not just saying that hun like... This one is plain and boring. But this... this is cutee!"

Paris: "Exactly... I think you'll look good in it. Try it on!"

Jacob: [He sighed] "Pass it here..."

Jacob took the tuxedo from her as her and Simone followed him to the changing rooms. When he changed into the tuxedo, Paris gasped covering her mouth and Simone's mouth dropped too

Simone: [She smiled] "You look soo good!"

Paris: "Omg Jacob, you look soo handsome in it! I think you should get it"

Jacob: "Fr?" [He looked at his outfit unsure of the look]

Simone and Paris stood there admiring his fit
