Maurice comes in through the entrance with his boys trailing behind him with their dates. Maurice was holding hands with Samantha as expected. A lot of people were bursting through to greet them. Maurice just laughed dramatically, a little overly excited while Samantha was stood with him humbly
Where them 4 were stood, watching them all walk in, Jacob's whole mood suddenly changed when she walked in with him. Paris ofc noticed it. She didn't say anything but she knew he felt a way about it from the way he looked over at them
Maurice: "Ahaa! Yuh! Wassup playa... Wusgood!"
Samantha and Maurice was just breaking out the circle they were surrounded by. 'Rock your body' by Justin Timberlake was playing and Maurice just started breaking out in his dance moves contagiously getting everyone else to dance too. Samantha shimmied with him to the centre of the dance floor. Everybody was dancing. Hakim TJ and Darnell were with their dates doing their own thing. Paris Jacob Lucky and Simone all stood there together until Reggie broke up their little silence by dancing over and grabbed Paris for a dance. Paris started dancing as Reggie guided her over to the middle where everybody was dancing. Jacob and Lucky just watched her get taken away giving each other that look. Simone then pulled Lucky away to dance too remaining Jacob. He was left alone standing there while everybody else danced with their dates
Jacob went over to the table where refreshments were and poured himself a drink. He watched everybody having a good time while he backs the glass of Prosecco in one gulp
Paris was over there getting it in with Reggie but halfway through dancing she peeped her girls dancing. She squeals jumping hand in hand with them. They were so hyped at how each other were dressed too while dancing, pointing to each other
As for Jacob, he was accompanied by a teacher supervising the party as they grabbed themselves a drink too as one said
"Enjoying yourself?"
Jacob: "Yeahh" [He nodded]
"Good! Enjoy the rest of the party!"
Jacob: "Thanks"
He acknowledged him and walked away
Jacob's POV
So I'm just watching everybody have a good time. Like I always have, ain't nothing different than what I always do. I always be in the back seat observing everybody. That's been my purpose my whole life, why's it any different just cause I'm this so called new whole person, yk? I mean... cmon now. This is some spectator type shit
Shii I won't lie to myself, a few girls were eyeing a nigga. One of the girls I remember her watching me from outside before we came in. She's a pretty young thing too... I just tried to look chill so as I'm nodding my head to the beat she's there smiling at me like, yo... I wasn't trying to get her attention, it was more like the other way round instead. Nah just be cool. You ain't about to go make conversation with no girl you ain't know. That's weird. Just be chill... Fuck, she still looking
Bruh now she's walking over to me so I turned round to the table like I was gonna pour myself another drink. Might as well distract myself. Just seconds after she appears right beside me doing the same
"Heyy!"
Jacob: [He nods] "What's going on?"
"My name is Sophie. What's yours?"
Jacob: "Uh, Jacob. Nice to meet you"
Sophie: "It's nice to meet you too" [She looks him up and down]
Jacob: [I side eyed her]
Sophie: [She laughed] "Relax... I don't bite" [She smiled]
Jacob: "Err... you have a date you supposed to be with?"
