Chapter 31 | Clashing

Lisa: [She laughed as Paris laughed with her] "See! Paris you have nothing to worry about. As long as you keep standing your ground as a young woman, he cannot convince you any different"

Paris: [She nodded] "You know what, you are soo right! Thanks Lisa..."

Lisa: "It's alright, girl. Just keep your head up... Us women need to stick together"

Paris nodded and went over to hug her later, and as she was about to leave Lisas office she called her back

Lisa: [She sighed] "I will no longer be working as your therapist anymore"

Paris: "What- Really? Why? Why so sudden?"

Lisa: [She took a deep breath] "Nothing is as it seems..."

Paris looked at her confused

Lisa: "I'm in a battle trying to get a divorce with my husband. I'm paying a lot of money to go through with it, and I won't be entitled to any of the money from our money shares. Plus my husbands kicked me out and I have no where to stay. Besides I'm not mentally fit right now to keep working"

Paris: [Her face read shocked] "Yea, I get it. I understand. Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear that. It's a shame you'll be taking a break because you've seriously helped me through a lot. You are a really THAT therapist"

Lisa: "...I'm not taking a break, Paris. I'm leaving counselling for good. I'm moving to another city to find another job similar to counselling. I understand, Paris it's sudden for you and I thank you and I truly care for your concern but timing seriously isn't great for me right now. And I have to make decisions for now, and for my son"

Paris: [Her eyes fluttered, nodding as she walked over to Lisa and hugged her as she hugged back] "It's a shame you're leaving so soon, but I wish you the best of luck, Lisa"

Lisa smiled and nodded, rubbed her hand. Paris patted her hand and left her office...

When Paris reached home, it was the evening. Riya opened the door and they hugged. As Paris walks into the living room to greet the her girls, Shan and Terri she peeps Shaniqua sat over with Maurice. Maurice has his arm round Shaniqua until Paris saw them both. He quickly moves his arm and switches up

Shaniqua: "Hey girl..."

Terri and Riya made faces looking at both Paris and Shaniqua, while Maurice sat on the side, like he wasn't there scrolling through his phone. Paris slightly shook her head

Paris: [She kisses her teeth] "Bye..." [Turning her back going into her room]

Terri: "Paris!..."

Riya eyes widened as Shaniqua sighed to herself and turned to Maurice looking at the rest of them. He got up. Terri went after her

Maurice: [He kisses his teeth] "Man she still got the hump with me huh?"

Shaniqua: "Your no saint, Maurice!"

Maurice: "Yeah but cmon like I haven't talked to shawty in weeks yo. I thought she woulda at least cool it"

Shaniqua: "What in the hell are you talking about?! Relax, just leave her be. Stop forcing this thing that she'll be fine with you. Cause Ik my girl and she won't be"

Maurice: "You told her, didn't you?"

Shaniqua: "Told her what?! About us?"

Maurice: "No mf shit Sherlock!"

Riya: "Hey! Boy don't talk to my girl like that!" [She screwed her face at him] Are you crazy?!"

Maurice: [He kisses his teeth and turns back to Shaniqua waiting for an answer]

Shaniqua: [She frowned] "Yes Maurice, I did tell her about us but so who cares! She doesn't care about that. She's mad at you for how you did her Maurice, that's her problem with you!"

Maurice: [He shot up from his chair] "Man you what? Shaniqua, are you crazy girl?! What'chu tryna do. Tryna make her jealous or sum?!"

Shaniqua: "Boy wh- Paris is my girl. I tell her everything! This is not about her being jealous fool!"

Maurice stuttered in frustration and stormed over to Paris's room. Riya and Shaniqua looked over at him like he's lost his mind. Then he started banging on Paris's door

Maurice: "Paris! Paris open up girl! I know you can hear me! Open up this damn door!"

Terri came to the door

Terri: "Maurice nows not a good time. Just leave her be. She obviously don't want to talk to you"

Maurice: "Yeah well I don't give a fuck, Terri!"

Teri: [She rolls her eyes and slams the door in his face]

Maurice: "Paris, open the damn door girl. I'm tryna talk to you. Stop being a mothefucking stuck up ass bitch and open the fuck up!" [He banged on the door]

Riya: "Wha- Uh uh..." [She popped her neck]

Shaniqua: "HEY! Boyy!" [As she and Riya got up running over to him]

Paris: [She swung open the door, mad] "Boy are you fucking crazy! This is not your damn home! Stop banging on my gotdamnn door fool!" [She stepped to him, looking up at him mad as hell]

Maurice: "Well maybe if you stop acting like a lil ass girl on me, I wouldn't have to be like this. I don't wanna be like this either but you leave me no choice! Tf you want me to do?!"

Shaniqua: "Maurice who are you talkin to?! You can't talk to her like that?"

Riya: "Watch your damn mouth, Maurice!"

Riya and Shaniqua was pushing him as Maurice was trying his hardest to ignore them

Paris: "Pssht, bye Maurice!" [As she slams the door in his face]

Maurice: [He sighed in frustration] "I just wanna be real witchu aight, whatever Shaniqua told you, it's not entirely true!"

Shaniqua: "BOY what is it then?! Huh?!" [She shouted at him, poking him]

Maurice turns to Shaniqua

Maurice: "Girl, STOP POKING ME!!"

Riya and Shaniqua jumped. Riya stood there looking at him like disgusted with what's shes witnessing as Shaniqua walked into the living room. Maurice followed her

Maurice: "Shaniqua I told you I'm not ready to go out like that. And out of all people you tell her!"

Shaniqua: "Just say now if you embarrassed Maurice. Cause I can't handle this on the low thing anymore. It's either we kickin it or not. What's it gonna be!"

Maurice: "Look you know how I feel about you but I wanna take it slow. Aight, it's not a normal thing to have a real connection with someone so cut me the bs aight and lets take this slow aight!"

Shaniqua sat there frustrated looking into the distance, like she was about to go into tears

Maurice: "Look I'm sorry for yelling at you like that. That was uncalled for. I won't do it again but you gotta stop this, aight baby girl!" [He pinched her chin, playfully]

Shaniqua: [She pushes him, moving his hand out her face] "Maurice you are really disrespectful as hell. You come, get all comfy then you switch up on me cause Paris shows up and then disrespect her in our place, just cause you feel like it?! Moth- Booyy see yo ass to the door. I don't want your apology! Bye"

Maurice: [He kisses his teeth and gets up like a kid, and storms out, slamming their door]

Riya and Shaniqua looked at eachother, disgusted. Terri comes out of Paris's room

Riya: "Girl, what did you ever see in Maurice?!"

Terri: "You read my mind?! The cheek of him to be running his nasty ass mouth like that towards us all in our own damn apartment is way past disrespectful!"

Shaniqua: "I honestly don't know what's up with him, lately. He's just been so off" [She shook her head]
