Wednesday
Jacob finished basketball practice and took a trip to Grub'Stop. He ordered the usual and ate alone on his own table. When he was done eating he got up and left and on his way out he bumps into Paris as he was opening the door to leave. Paris face drops as Jacob is opening the door for her as he leaves the shop. Paris frowns to herself and turns back out the shop going after him
Paris: "Jacob?! [She called out]
Jacob stopped in his tracks and turned back to her, looking like he wasn't trying to stop for a conversation
Paris: "No hey? No, how are you? How you been?"
Jacob: [He shrugged] "What you want me to say?"
Paris: [She looked at him in confusion] "What is going on with you Jacob? You've been avoiding my calls, my texts. When was you planning on getting back to me?"
Jacob: "I don't need this right now Paris. Aight?" [And looked right past her]
Paris: "Oh you don't [Tears start forming in her eyes she walked up to him] You aren't the only one who's lost Lucky. We BOTH were his best friends. Even Simone. His gf!"
Jacob: [He sighed]
Paris: "The world doesn't revolve around you! And speaking of you avoiding me. Simone, she texted me last week. She text me to say she's leaving town"
Jacob: "...Fr?"
Paris: "Yeaa, in fact she's already gone! She's gone to live with her grandparents in Dallas Texas and is probably making a living over there. Her staying here it's too painful. And now I've lost another close friend! You..."
Jacob: [He sighed] "...My fault. I didn't mean to avoid you, it's just... I have a lot of my own shit going on Paris"
Paris: "I've been trying to talk to you Jacob but you just keep avoiding me, like I did something wrong. That's not fair on me. I feel like everything around me is crumbling apart from my career. You're my best friend Jacob and you're treating me like I'm some sort of stranger"
Jacob: "Your right... your right... Look I'm just trying figure shit out for myself rn. I'm getting counselling again. I need someone to talk to about what's going on up here"
Paris: "With whom?"
Jacob: "Does it matter? All that matters is that I've got somebody to talk to"
Paris: "If you talked to me Jacob you would've never needed to find counselling in the first place"
Jacob: "You know exactly what I mean. I'm talking professional help Paris. Lisa was your therapist so you know what it's like... I don't have to explain it to you since you're my best friend. You should understand my situation right?"
Paris: [She nodded taking a bit of what he's saying to offence] "...So Lisa is your therapist?"
Jacob: "Why does that matter?"
Paris: "I'm just curious. Since you're counselling with Lisa-..."
Jacob: "I never said Lisa's my therapist"
Paris: "You didn't have to Jacob. The fact you referred to my counselling sessions with her and Jacob, its written all over your face... So, as I was saying since you're getting counselling I thought maybe I'll book in an appointment with her too. I need counselling too"
Jacob: "What and share the same therapist?"
Paris: [She frowned] "Is that a problem? You never had a problem with it then so why do you have a problem with it now?"
