8. Strike the Set!

Caitlynn scouts out the studio before the boys go in. She sees Gustavo yelling about shooting against a fake water backdrop.

"He's, like, 200 years old! All he knows is what kind of yogurt he likes!" Gustavo yells. Kelly looks like she's seconds away from throttling him.

Caitlynn looks back at the boys. "He's not in the best mood right now, so I'd be cautious."

"When is he ever in a good mood?" Logan asks cynically. Caitlynn shrugs.

"Ok let's go," Kendall says, but James puts an arm to stop him.

"Uh, what? Didn't you hear Cait? She said he's not in a good mood!"

"Abort mission! Abort mission!" Logan whispers as they all walk over to where Gustavo and Kelly were. Kendall keeps them moving forward, "Just stay cool, if we fail we fail."

The boys stop in front of them and Caitlynn walks over and sits on the couch behind them.

"Heel," Gustavo says, not looking up from whatever Kelly was showing him. "Stay. Speak."

"We took some pictures of the pool at the Palm Woods," Kendall says, starting his pitch, "greatest pool ever, very lucky water." Kelly accepts the pictures that Kendall gives to her. "It's a great location for the interviews!"

"Hot directors shoot there all the time! Swirly slide!" Carlos blurs, then James smacks the back of his head.

"Oh, the dogs are directing my video now!" Gustavo exclaims, working himself up. Caitlynn rolls her eyes. "Well let me tell you how it works here. I am the trainer, you are the dogs. Now sit!"

The boys do not sit.

"Uh. Don't sit?"

They each sit down on the couch behind them, Logan finding a spot next to Caitlynn. She smiles at him as he sits down.

"This pool looks great," Kelly points out, crossing over to the boys' side. "And it's close enough that we can be back here by 3 to shoot the performance at the Ultra Teen Hang Out place."

The boys all overly voice their approval, being completely suspicious, and Caitlynn pinches each of them to get them to stop.

"No! You all do what I say! And I say no! No! No!" His stomping caused the backdrop and lights to fall over and crash into each other. Caitlynn cringes and hides her face behind Logan. Gustavo looks back at them with a defeated look. "Let's shoot at the Palm Woods."

Caitlynn giggles into Logan's shoulder as the boys celebrate around her.

Gustavo and the crew set up the set that was needed for the interviews while Kelly sorts out the logistics with Bitters. Caitlynn sits back in one of the cabanas with Katie, waiting for the signal from the Jennifers.

Once Katie gets the text, the girls pop out and notify the boys.

"The bird is in the cage, and the Jennifers are in place," Katie says, showing Kendall the text.

The boys all stand up from their chairs, ready for debriefing.

"Ok, team, remember your missions," Kendall says, then he proceeds to point to the rest of the group.

"James, you stall Gustavo. Carlos, Katie, and Camile. You head to Rocque Records and fake build the ultra teen crib. While Cait, Logan, and I install the swirly slide and all those other electronic goodies!"
