2. 3 Days?! What happened to 3 months!
Early morning planes were not her thing, Caitlynn decides as she walks out of LAX to face the rising sun.
"Hey, Rich," She greets her driver as he opens her door. She throws the bag in and follows after it.
A nap sounds really good right about now.
"To the studio or the palm woods?" Rich asks as he pulls the car away from the pick up line.
Ugh, work.
"Studio, please. I just need to get one last track recorded before wrapping up." She says while draping her sweater over her eyes.
Yeah, a nap sounds good.
"Please remember to take out your contacts before sleeping, my dear," Rich reminds her from the driver's seat.
Caitlynn groans and prys open her eyes.
Ugh
--
"I I I only lo-love you
when you don't love me
So why do you
Why do you
Why do you love me?"The track ends and Caitlynn takes a deep breath.
"That was great, Lynn. Why don't you go home?"
Caitlynn lifted a tired thumbs up as she left the room.
She walks across the hall to the bathroom, unaware of anyone around her.
Quickly she takes out her contacts and puts on her thin wireframes, blinking blearily at her reflection. She slides the case into her back pocket before leaving.
Walking back into the lobby, she collapses onto a white couch.
"Lynn, baby, what's wrong?" Nicole asks her, walking down the hall with her manager.
"I'm dying," She says melodramatically, throwing an arm over her eyes.
"Have you tried drinking water?"
"Nikki, not everything can be cured with water."
"Ok, but have you tried?"
After a few seconds of silence Nicole laughs and asks her manager to get her a bottle of water.
"Guys, say hi to Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls."
Caitlynn sits up as she hears teens sputtering.
"He's gonna marry you!" The one with the helmet blurted.
"Oh yeah? Where's my ring?" Nicole asks playfully, handing a bottle of water to Caitlynn.
"He--yee," The boys said upon seeing how tired Caitlynn appeared.
"What's up?" James says.
"I'm dying," She says, drinking the water.
"You're not dying. How long has it been since you drank any water?"
Caitlynn goes silent for a minute before answering, "There's water in coffee."
"No, there isn't," Logan says. Caitlynn puts the hand holding the bottle up by her mouth to shield her mouth from Nicole. "She doesn't know that," She winks and takes another sip of the water.
"We're recording a demo with Gustavo," Caitlynn's eyes widen.
"All of you?"
"Yep!" Helmet head cheers.
Caitlynn really had to learn his name.
"Ah, Gustavo," Nicole says, eyes narrowed.
"You know him?" James asks.
