11. Rehearse Again! And Again! And Oh God Cait Let Us GO
Waking the girls up took hours on a good day, Josh was plenty aware. Avery had been living with him since their parents had decided Paris was a more worthwhile retirement location than somewhere more normal, like Florida.
Avery, ever the rebel, had refused to go with them and moved in with her dad's younger brother Josh the next day.
(Actually, Avery had flip-flopped between going or staying until the rest of the Sirens had taken her already packed up room and stuck it in Josh's apartment instead.)
Since then, Josh had become everyone's Uncle, joining Stephanie in those ranks despite being years younger than everyone else in the Fuller house hold.
The first morning in LA, however, seemed to be more than just a good day.
Normally the first to wake up would be Josh, then Caitlynn, Evie, Addy, and Avery in that order. But, by the time Josh got up, everyone was awake but him.
"Eager to start the day?" Josh asks, laughing as he takes a seat at the kitchen counter. Caitlynn, who was piling various fruits into the blender, tunes him out.
"Caitlynn woke us all up an hour ago," Evie rolls her eyes.
"Yeah, and now we're going to rehearse," Addy adds. Avery hands him a sticky note with a schedule on it.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
9 AM - 10 AM : WARM UPS
10 AM - 12 PM : GROUP REHEARSAL
12 PM - 1.30 PM : LUNCH
1.30 PM - 3 PM : SOLO PRACTICE
3 PM - 5 PM : GROUP REHEARSAL
Josh whistles slowly. "Damn, Lynn, you really have these girls scheduled to the minute, huh?"
Caitlynn handed each of the girls their drinks. "Yup. And we won't stray from our schedule, right?" She turns to look at the girls pointedly.
Evie snaps the cap off her drink and chugs it, Addy slurps quickly from the straw, and Avery doesn't drink.
"Right, Ave?"
"I'm not gonna lie, Cait, I don't wanna do this." Avery says tiredly.
Caitlynn rubs her neck, irritated. "The schedule is just for the next two weeks, okay? Then we can chill, but we haven't rehearsed together in almost a year, so we need practice right now."
Avery sighs and nods, head dipping down to drink her smoothie.
Evie burps loudly. "Sick smoothie."
Caitlynn grins. "Thanks, Eve, 'preciate it."
Addy tosses her cup in the sink. "Alright, let's rock 'n roll."
The girls groan as Josh laughs, high fiving her.

Josh drives the girls to the studio, separating from them once he meets up with Kelly and Gustavo. He takes his self-appointed title as the girls' manager very seriously.
Caitlynn leads the girls to Studio A, pulling a curtain in front of the glass doors for privacy.
"Alright, girls, warm up!"

With Evie on lead vocals, Avery on drums, Addy on lead guitar, and Caitlynn on bass and additional vocals, the Sirens were a hit in the San Francisco garage rock scene. While mostly playing small shows, over their sophomore year they had gained a significant amount of popularity. And with Jackson taking it upon himself to be their social media manager, the group had done pretty well for themselves.
