Lindsay was walking around and enjoying the sights of Manhattan instead of stressing out about selling spots. "Oh come on." She muttered
"Lindsay." Said her mother, "What happened to your mistake?"
"He's with Carol. By the way, I have news."
"What?"
"I'm engaged." She held up her hand with the ring
     "To Oscar?" She asked hopefully
"No. He's still in jail. I'm engaged to Jack Kelly."
     "Oh. Ew."
     "What? He's so sweet, mom."
"Isn't he the reason Oscar had a restraining order with you?"
     "No. Joe did that."
"Your uncle is too nice. He's way too soft." She said
     "He really ain't." Lindsay said
     "What do you mean?"
"He doesn't care about any of the newsies. Absolutely none of us. He only does some stuff for me because I'm a girl. You remember Patrick? He did nothing for him! And he's missing! He doesn't care!
"You know what we eat for breakfast on a daily basis? Curtailed coffee, concrete donuts sprinkled with mold, and two year old biscuits. He does nothing. Nothing has improved in two years!" She ranted
It was true. No matter what happened, it was true. "My wedding is tomorrow at the church if you wanna bother to show up." Lindsay said, then she walked away
Carol made her dress. It was very flowy and beautiful. She went to go spend the night there. "Hi, Carol." She said when she walked in
"Hey, sweetheart." She said, "You ready for tomorrow?"
"Yeah! Jack loves the suit you made him. Fits perfectly."
"I'm so glad. Dinner will be done soon. You make yourself at home."
"You know, you really didn't have to let us stay here for a week after we get married. We've saved up plenty of money."
"Your uncle Joe is paying for a good chunk of this. You two can't afford a hotel." Carol said
"He's paying for the preacher, the flowers, and the church space."
"I insist." Carol said while plating up food, "Richard is with cousin Jenny. It's just us two. Let's eat."
The next day was the day. Lindsay got her dress and went to the church. She got dolled up and once Carol said it was time, she went out. The room was decorated with flowers, nice candles, and filled to the brim with newsies. Even Spot Conlon was there with some of Brooklyn.
She walked down the aisle and saw Jack. He had tears in his eyes. He looked so different without a news cap. Lindsay walked down the aisle. In that moment, everything was just beautiful. Perfect.
"Do you, Jack Kelly, take Lindsay Peterson to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Asked the preacher
     "I do."
"And do you, Lindsay Peterson, take Jack Kelly to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
     "I do." She said
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
The two kissed each other passionately. All the newsies cheered, and Joe, Carol, and Katherine clapped loudly. When the wedding was over, Jack and Lindsay were loaded into a very small car of some kind, and were driven to Carol's apartment.
Jack carried her in and they sat down on the couch. "I love you so much, baby." He said
"I love you too, Jack Kelly."
