Emily quietly makes her way through the dark apartment you shared. Placing her bag on the floor and locking away her gun before walking towards the bedroom.
She's been in Georgia for the past week and had just landed back in Virginia a few hours ago. She had let the rest of the team go home early and the agent wanted nothing more than do the same but she'd stayed an extra two hours finalizing case reports from the most recent case.
You're fast asleep, snuggled up in the covers as she walks into the bedroom and starts undressing as quietly as possible to not wake you.
"Em?" You mumbled still half asleep.
"I'm sorry angel, did I wake you?" The woman asked changing into some sweats and a t-shirt to sleep in.
"Don't care" you mumbled.
"Go back to sleep baby" she said softly.
"Not before you get in here and keep me warm"
Emily quickly finished changing and got into the bed with a smile on her face. She got under the covers and immediately wrapped her arms around you as you snuggled into her side, a sigh escaping your lips as she pulls you closer. Emily couldn't help but press a light kiss to your forehead making a soft smile spread across your lips.
"Missed you" you whispered.
"I missed you too, I hate being away from you" she said in a soft tone.
"I'm all yours for the weekend though" she added
"good" you mumbled against her chest, feeling your eyes getting heavy with sleep again.
"Go back to sleep my love" she hummed pressing yet another kiss to your forehead before whispering I love you
It didn't take long for you to fall asleep again. The comfort and warmth of your girlfriends arms being enough to help you fall asleep.
Emily enjoyed having you in her arms again and she finally felt like she could relax whenever she would come home after a long case, she always slept better when you were with her. The woman let the sweet scent of your shampoo fills her senses and she listens to the steady rhythm of your heartbeat, allowing it to soothe her to sleep.
Her last thought before falling asleep was how lucky she was to get to come home to you.
