You don't answer, you just can't bring yourself to do it. Of course you feel bad but it's better this way.
Two days later your phone gets another notification, Emily again.
From Emily Why aren't you answering your phone? I'm getting worried, I need to know you're okay.
You feel tears burning in the back of your eyes and a familiar lump forming in your throat. Fuck why did she have to make this so hard?
You and Emily had been dating for 2 months and everything was great in your relationship, she was great. But you on the other hand..let's just say that you had a ton of baggage and a bad habit of pushing people away. It was hard to just let her be there for you when you had been on your own for so long. You didn't know how to let her in so you pushed her away. God you just ruin everything...she deserves better.
You sink down to the floor and start crying into your arms, wrapping then tightly around your body wishing it was Emily's.

You couldn't make the voices stop, they were too loud. Eventually you pick yourself up from the floor and wash your face, you looked like a mess. Your face is red and puffy from crying and you can barely look at yourself in the mirror. You walk inside your bedroom and crawl onto the bed and hug a pillow, it's lame but it makes you feel less alone.
You must've fallen asleep because you're woken up to someone knocking on your door.
