CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE:
TIME TRAVEL

"TODAY, YOUR DAUGHTER HAS DECIDED to be hyperactive." Victoria sighed, sitting herself down on the couch as she closed her eyes for a moment.

"Wonder who she gets it from." Tony smiled, sitting down beside of his wife.

"Not from me, that's for sure." Victoria scoffed, chuckling slightly as she shook her head. The woman sat there for a moment before forcing herself up from the couch. "Alright, I'm starting lunch." Tony grabbed her hand as she  walked by, grabbing her attention. He stood and gave her a quick kiss and offered her a smile before allowing her to move into the kitchen and start fixing lunch.

It had been five years of this new found world, one in which half of the universe was no longer there. And Victoria found herself starting a family with Tony, the duo having gotten married as soon as he had been brought back to health and having their daughter―︎who they did in fact name Emerson―︎not a few months later. She was five years old, having just turned five a few weeks prior. Victoria almost hated to admit the fact that she was happy, and she almost felt guilty for building the life that half of the universe didn't get to have.

She tensed slightly in surprise when arms were slipped around her waist before she relaxed and leaned into Tony whilst she continued to cook. He placed his head on her shoulder, giving her a kiss on the cheek. He inhaled the smell of the food and hummed in delight.

"This smells amazing." Tony told her and Victoria smiled before thanking him.

"It's almost done. Do you mind grabbing Em?" She turned her head to look at him and he nodded before giving her another quick kiss and then walking outside where their daughter was currently playing. Victoria found herself smiling, the kiss lingering on her lips before she turned her head at the sound of the front door opening.

"Mommy, auntie Nat's outside!" Emerson said with an excited smile. Victoria furrowed her brows, wondering exactly why it was that Natasha was here. She started fixing her daughter's plate and glanced through the screen door to see not only Natasha, but also Steve, and Scott Lang―︎whom of which she thought had been part of the snap.

"Wash up before you even think about sitting down, missy." Victoria pointed towards her daughter who only giggled before quickly running towards her mother and stepping up onto the step stool in front of the sink in order to wash her hands. Just as she was about to put her hands under the water. Victoria held up her hand. "Hold that thought." She could hear their voices raising from there. "Go save your daddy, and then come in and wash up, yeah?"

"Okay." Victoria smiled, ruffling her daughter's dark hair before watching as she jumped down and ran back out the door and not a few minutes later Tony was coming back inside with Emerson in his arms. Victoria set the plates on the table. "Both of you, wash up, then eat. I'm going to go say hey real quick." She walked outside, grabbing Natasha and Steve's attention.
