Victoria Mason didn't have the rough past like most of the Avengers did. She wasn't born with special abilities like Thor, the god of thunder. She wasn't an experiment like her best friend Steve. She was a normal girl that wanted to do good in the world―︎of course there was the whole factor of her being able to fly, her memories of how she gained that power completely erased from her head. And soon, she found herself becoming one of the best assassins there was right beside Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton. Her family was killed in a fire, one of which she was not present for seeing as she had chosen to stay with a friend that night.

Growing up as a child, Captain America had always been a great influence on her life and she would be lying if she said he wasn't the reason why she grew up to be an assassin. She knew how to shoot a gun, how to throw knives, but she also had a pair of double swords that she could so flawlessly swing around. And she taught herself how to do all these things, because she didn't have anyone else. It was just herself.

And that's when Nick Fury had somehow discovered her simple ability. He appeared at her doorstep, introducing himself and then recruiting her with an agency with the name of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Victoria almost immediately excepted the offer. Of course, she didn't realize then how chaotic her life was going to become. But she didn't regret it. No, not at all.

When she joined S.H.I.E.L.D, when she was roped into the Avengers Initiative alongside Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton, she was met with someone she never thought she would grow feelings for. Tony Stark was a narcissistic asshole that didn't get along with anyone. He was intelligent, and he made sure everyone knew it. And maybe that's why he found himself falling for Victoria Mason. Not only was she an assassin, but she was highly intelligent, almost smarter―︎if not smarter―︎ than Tony.

But she knew of his relationship with Pepper Potts, and so she kept her feelings hidden deep down and kept to her work. But she made a promise to herself that she would always be by his side, no matter what. And that's what she did. She was even there when the news of Pepper Potts and Tony's break up became news. Victoria had sat there in silence with the man as he drank to his hearts desire. She sat there with him, watching with interest as he would continue to build things in his lab. He forgot that she was there most of the time, but when he noticed her presence and he watched her eyes scan over everything, almost as if she were doing her own calculations in her head, he watched her with admiration―︎completely unaware of his own feelings that seemed to be brewing.

She would come everyday, she would tell him all about her missions that she went on over dinner that she would fix for the both of them. And when she wasn't there, he noticed. When she wasn't sitting in his lab watching him work due to a mission she was on, he noticed she wasn't there. When she wasn't back in time to come over and eat dinner with him, he noticed. He noticed and he was glad he noticed. Because all of a sudden she became everything to him, without her even knowing. He actually became excited for their talks over dinner, or their time spent together in the lab laughing over something that didn't make sense.

He thought after Pepper he would never be with someone more than one night ever again. But Victoria changed that. She changed everything and he found himself falling so deeply for her, a love he had never experienced before. He thought that what he and Pepper had was love, but it was merely a crush that ended in chaos and destruction. What he and Victoria had was special. It was a love so strong, so pure, that it was addicting. It was an endless love, one that would go through some ups and downs but not enough to ever make them hate each other.

Tony and Victoria's love was something to be cherished. And so cherished it, they did.
