- « What do you mean an extension? »

- « Yes well, the renovation company are apparently busy with more urgent stuff right now. And since Tsukishima actually has a place to stay, he isn't exactly their number one priority. » the landlord answered, giving an apologetic look to both students.

- « Damn it. »
For how long will they have to put up with this ?

- « I'm really sorry for you too Tsukishima, you can't go back to your place yet... »

- « I don't really care. »

As usual, he wasn't helping at all. Yamaguchi just needed him to say he wanted to move some place else and they would find a way, but that would be too easy. Why would he try helping them  for once ?
And why was he hanging with the landlord's son instead of talking with the adults about HIS OWN PROBLEM ?

- « Hey, by the way, living with a handsome young man like him, don't tell me nothing happened... »

- « What? What do you mean? I don't even think he's gay- »

- « Oh no! Dear, that's not what I meant... I meant isn't it tiring? I saw some girls hanging around the building waiting for him. You must be annoyed too. »

Yamaguchi blushed. Of course she wouldn't think something like that.

They turned their face away, too embarrassed to look back at the landlord and glanced at Tsukishima instead.
Their roommate chuckled as the landlord's son made a joke. It looked like he really liked children.

And that was exactly why they couldn't live with him any longer. They couldn't just let themselves think a grown man was adorable. Disgusting.

The conversation being over with, their landlord decided it was time for them to leave and asked her son Kota to join her. That kid was cute, playing with Tsukishima, but it seemed however that he wasn't really fond of Yamaguchi.
They observed him as he walked back, but didn't understand why he didn't join his mother right away.
The boy searched in his mom's purse for something, a pair of plastic handcuffs. Kota walked back to Yamaguchi and grabbed their wrist, leading them to where Tsukishima was sitting and spoke with pride.

« Mister with the glasses and mister with dots on his face, you are both under arrest! »

The kid grinned as he tied the handcuffs aggressively, one on Yamaguchi's wrist, one on Tsukishima's. And then he left. Left them like that. Tied up to each other.

- « Ah, silly kid. Anyways, where's the key? »

- « I don't know. »

- « What do you mean you don't know? »

- « I don't know where the key is. »

- « Then why the fuck are you smiling for? »

- « This is a funny situation. »

- « Oh my god. Tsukishima, I have stuff to do. »

- « Guess I'll just have to come with. »

Yamaguchi remembered what they had to shop for, and suddenly understood the seriousness of the situation.

- « No! You... you can't come. »

- « Why? »

- « Tomorrow, it's Moe birthday. She's doing a sort of pool party... she said she would be really insecure if no one went in the pool and that I should definitely have a swimsuit to support her. But I don't have one, so I have to buy it today. »

- « And what does that have to do with me ?»

- « It's embarrassing to buy a swimsuit with someone else! Especially you. »
