One day, Tsukishima asked :
- « The other day, I saw a guy that looked like my brother on the street. He didn't talk to you, did he? »
The question had taken them by surprise. They had almost completely forgotten their meeting with the first Tsukishima brother. They remembered how Akiteru didn't want his brother to know anything. So they lied. After all, after the kiss incident, the two didn't really get along as well as before.
- « I don't think so, no. » they answered, feigning ignorance. « Do you not get along with him? »
- « That's not the point. » He sounded aggressive, more than he had intended it to be. Yamaguchi could tell everything by the look on his face.
- « Alright. »
Then Yamaguchi decided to go take a walk to the store, they didn't really have anything to buy but the atmosphere at home was just too weird ; tension was constantly in the air, it was tiring and somewhat depressing and they couldn't bare it any longer.
And of course, what were the odds for him to run into Akiteru on their way there.
The older man was sitting in his car, listening to very loud Doja Cat music. Quite unpredictable coming from a Tsukishima.
- « LET ME BE UR WOMAN, WOMAN WOMAN WOMAN, I CAN BE UR.. Tadashi is that you ? »
They chuckled and approached the car. They actually quite enjoyed Tsukki's older brother's company and didn't really get what was so wrong with him. Aside from the fact that he had stolen his brother's girlfriend. Eh, nobody's perfect.
- « Hi Tadashi ! Where are you going? » Akiteru asked, beaming as always.
- « Hello Akiteru. I was just going out for a walk, but I'm thinking about going to the grocery store. Your brother eats for four. »
- « Do you want me to drive you ? It's not far, got nothing better to do. »
Tadashi thought for a second, but they were lazy and then again, what was the worst that could happen?
- « Sure. Thanks. »
They got in the car, and covered their ears while Akiteru was putting the music down. They liked Doja, but this was.. a bit much.
- « Interesting music taste. »
As Akiteru started driving, he asked Yamaguchi a question.
- « So the kissing didn't work..? » He looked somewhat disappointed.
- « Ah. How can you tell? »
- « Just the look on your face. »
- « Real nice. »
This conversation was going smoother than Yamaguchi had expected.
- « You don't know your brother as much as you thought I guess. » Yamaguchi started, still hurt that his supposed "perfect plan" didn't actually go right.
- « Or maybe you just weren't experienced enough." Akiteru smirked, finding this situation pretty enjoyable. That was bothering Tadashi, it was such a Tsukishima thing to do.
- « What?! It's not like I can simply learn how to be seductive. That's rude. »
- « Maybe you were acting to much like a kiss virgin, you know. »
They arrived to the parking lot but something felt.. strange? weird? different?
- « Hey tadashi. »
- « Hm? »
- « You know what would make Kei really jealous, and really help your case? » He turned to face them.
- « No? »
- « If I kissed you. »
This family really was something else.
- « If you... if you- What?! »
- « Yeah, you know. It wouldn't count, I'm straight anyway... but what if I caught a picture of it, since I'm a photographer and all... It would make my little brother jealous, I think. If he really does like you. »
This whole situation felt familiar. This whole person felt familiar. Akiteru was literally the same person as his brother, only a little less mean and maybe a tiny bit more stupid. But still, so similar.
- « I- I don't think it's a good idea. »
- « You don't? »
- « It... it just doesn't feel right ? »
This was truly all they could say about it. They had already had their first kiss stolen by Mina, they couldn't bare feeling this exact same thing twice. And also, even though their roommate was a jerk, it still felt mean to do that to him, knowing how he feels about Akiteru.
However, they still craved revenge about the kiss incident. So they thought about making a compromise.
- « How about... on the cheek? »
- « On my cheek? »
- « Hm. Will that work? »
They knew this was truly them acting like a child, and it was such an immature thing to do but honestly, if it meant they would get to see their roommate jealous or annoyed or feeling any honest human emotion at all, it was worth it.
And so, they took the picture. The moment didn't feel special, Yamaguchi simply felt like he was kissing his friend on the cheek, and Akiteru didn't seem to have felt anything either. After the pic was taken, they both looked at it and laughed at how absurd it looked.
- « This won't work. » Yamaguchi mumbled.
- « We might as well try. » Akiteru answered, and that gave Yamaguchi an idea.
- "Do you want to mess with your brother, just a bit more?" they hesitantly asked.
- "Isn't this already enough?"
- "Yeah, but... what if kept this picture for like absolute necessity..?"
- "What do you mean?"
- "What if... before using it... w- we simply tried to make him jealous with our actions."
- "With our actions?"
Yamaguchi pretended this was to mess with Tsukishima, well Kei, even more, but it was actually because they realised that, if he did like them, that picture may really hurt him, like a lot and remind him of previous experiences like the one with his ex girlfriend. They didn't want to admit that though, especially after all the annoying things Kei had done to them, so they made something up, something that Akiteru would obviously agree to do, he was still like a lot like his brother after all.
The plan was simple : making Tsukki jealous with their actions. Tadashi would invite Akiteru over, as if they were the best pals ever, and they would act all flirty and annoying and piss him off. That way, they didn't have to use that stupid photo and they could still mess with him a bit.
Of course, Akiteru agreed right away. Maybe he truly was a jerk. Whatever, that wasn't Yamaguchi's business.
The next day, the face Tsukishima made when he saw his brother at the front door, was priceless.
AN : really small chapter sry sry! im honestly not satisfied with this at all, it's so stupid arghhh but I'm posting it either way cause i need this story to keep going t-t i promise i will try to make the story more interesting than these stupid filler chapters, it will get better i promise!!!!! its so hard to write anything thats not like fluff or flirting cause its not making me happy lol
