Victor's point of view
"How did you let two people get out of the town!" I yelled at my guards as we walked through a forest. Once the storm stopped we started to look for Sabre and Ivy. I kept my sword on me at all times.

"They were so fast-" I cut them off.

"I trained you better then that!" The guards flinched and went queit. I could hear my trained dogs sniff and pant as they try to catch their scent. It will be difficult with the rain.

"You know very well that I need the staff back. It's the only thing to keep the town quiet. If they find out I lost what strikes fear into them. They will revolt against me.

I hate this stupid forward. I'll need to cut this place down soon anyway and kill any untamed animals here. If we are to survive we must grow. The morning sun felt good though, not too hot. Not too cold.

One of my loyal dogs barked. I looked over to their direction. He was barking down into a deep hole in the ground. They got their scent.

"Guards make a path down here. We will ride on horse back through the tunnels to find those thieves."

"Yes Sir!" They replied in unison. I smiled and took out my bow and arrows. My arrows dripped in a rare poison. Wither effect.

"What do we do when we find them?" One of my closest guards Arthur asked.

"Kill them."

Sabre's point of view
I felt the boat shift waking me up. The sun was being covered by a large mountain in front of me. It felt unreasonable warm though. I slowly sat up feeling the weight of Ivy on my chest. She was still asleep. I look around to see we were now in a lake and we just reached the end of it.

"Is this the volcano?" I asked myself as I look around, this is definitely the volcano. I look at Ivy and shake her a little.

"Ivy. Ivy wake up." She opens her eyes and sits up.

"Sabre? What's wrong?" She stretched her back and looked at me.

"We are at the volcano." She look at the mountain in wonder and quickly stands up.

"It's so big!-" She stumbled and feel overboard. I barely managed to stay on the boat.

"Ivy!" I screamed and looked over to where she feel into the lake. It was a really deep lake. Thankfully it was shallow where we were at.

Ivy quickly swam to the surface and she took a deep breath. She looked perfectly fine and I sighed with relief.

"I'm okay Sabre. Don't worry." She swims to the shore and dries herself off. I get onto shore from the boat and pulled it up out of the water.

"It looks like we have a long climb up." I tell Ivy as I look up at the volcano. It would be the tallest thing I've ever climbed.

"It does, but we will get there! Once we get their we can throw the staff into the center of the volcano and it will be gone." She starts to walk towards the mountain and I follow.

"Then we can face Victor off and save the witch and everyone in the town." She nods and o smile. Everything is going as planned. I looked around and found a good place to start climbing.

"Over here Ivy." I point to the place I found and she goes over to it and looks around too.

"Looks good, I'll climb first and you stay behind."

"Sounds good. I'll yell if I need help." Ivy starts climbing and I follow being careful of everywhere we stepped.

The mountain felt warm from the lava that slowly moved inside it. The higher we got the warmer it felt. Ivy was doing a lot better than I was. She had to keep stopping for me.

"How are you so good at climbing?" I half yelled to her. She looks down at me.

"I used to climb a lot as a kid." A kid? She has a childhood? I thought she only existed when I created her. It made me curious.

"What was your childhood like?" I asked and I climb up the volcano a little bit faster.

"I had my two parents. They loved me and kept me safe. Nothing to special. After a while I decided to explore the world. My parents were okay with that and that's what I started doing." Ivy tells me.

I smile. That sounds really nice. I hope being with me isn't too crazy for her. Fighting Victor and being with a person who is from and entirely different world.

"I think we are almost there!" She yells and starts to climb faster. A lot faster than I could follow. I try to keep up, but I lost some gripping on my feet for a few seconds.

"Ivy! Slow down!" I yell to her and start climbing again. Keeping my pace from before. It took me a while to get to her. She made it to the top.

"Sorry Elan," She offers me her hand and I take it. She helps me get to the top as I breath deeply.

"Is this the top?" I asked as I got back into my feet.

"Yes." I look around and saw we were on the edge of a large circle that went down like a valley. A valley filled with lava. The lava was very deep in the hole, but it was their.

"Well this is it, now we can throw this stupid staff away then go after Victor." I looked through my inventory and took out the Golden staff. The pulsing magic inside it went through my skin again.

I put my hand over the edge of the outer ring. I was ready to get rid is this stupid staff. The staff that caused me so much pain and turned Ivy into stone. I clutched it tightly in my hand. I took a deep breath ready to drop it.

"Once you let it go, tell me." I looked at Ivy who had a serious look on her face.

"I will Ivy. I'll tell you why I'm glitching. Why I'm so different and what I am." Ivy smiled and gave me a small nod.

I look down at the lava and counted in my mind the seconds. Three... two... one... I closed my eyes tightly and-

Felt an arrow pierce through my risk. I dropped the staff and heard it clatter to the ground and it sank into the lava.
