Something Different (Julie and the Phantoms- Luke)

Chapter 32

We were all chilling in the studio when Julie got a phone call from an unknown number. Curious, she picked it up and excused herself to the corner of the room, where she became conversing with the person on the other line.

"Wonder who that could be?" I asked looking up from the cardigan I was crocheting. It was another hobby I picked up from my mom but I usually favoured drawing over it.

"Could be anyone, hopefully not a prank caller," Reggie says as he tuned his bass.

"OH MY GOD!! YES WE'LL BE HAPPY TO DO IT. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" Julie yelled from the other side of the room. Causing Alex to fall off the couch he was laying on and onto the floor.

After a few seconds Julie comes rushing over, massive smile on her face as she jumped on the spot while clapping her hands.

"What in the name of Zeus's nipple are you so happy about?" I ask setting my yarn and hook down.

"WE'RE PLAYING MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!!!" She replied and my eyes widened.

"Oh my god!! Really??" I said springing up from my spot beside Luke and began jumping too.

The guys began doing their tradition of lifting Alex in the dirty dancing lift and spinning in circles as they goofed off and laughed with joy. This was going to be our biggest gig yet. I guess playing the Orpheum really payed off in the long run.

"What's with all the commotion?" The voice of Carlos yells, bringing us out of our fit of joy. Luke and Reggie placed Alex back on the floor as we all looked at the youngest Molina.

"Julie and the Phantoms are playing at Madison Square Garden!" I replied with excitement.

"That's amazing!" He says coming further into the room and looked over at where the guys stood "Congrats ghost boyband that I can somehow now see,"

That comment caused all our eyes to widen. I completely forgot that Carlos knew they were ghosts after he figured it all out on the night we played the Orpheum. Since Flynn already knew she could see the guys after the whole thing with Caleb ended. But now Carlos could see them, which did make sense.

"Who you calling boyband," Luke grumbles giving Carlos a mock glare. He really didn't like being called boyband.

"Carlos this is Luke, Reggie and Alex. You can't tell anyone that they are ghosts," I introduced them and Carlos nods his head.

"Are you kidding? My sister and god sister are in a popular hologram band who are actually ghosts, this is awesome," he exclaims with a bright smile.

"Thanks for understanding Los," I state returning the smile before he heads off to tell Ray the good news.

We let it sink in that Carlos could now see them before deciding that we needed to come up with a set list for the show.

"Ooh we should do Now or Never since Trevor hasn't taken that one and played it off as his own," I suggest as we sat around the table. Alex was writing the ideas down since he has the best handwriting out of us all.

"That would be amazing!" Luke says with giddiness "it's the song we were supposed to sing at the Orpheum the night we died,"

"And we could have you and Sammie do a duet of the song Alex gave you," Reggie adds poundering how that would look on stage.

"Then the song Sammie wrote for Landon," Julie piped in as Alex wrote everything down elegantly on the paper.

"Y'all just want me to cry," I joked letting out a giggle.

We spent the next hour or so fine tuning everything with plans to write a whole new song just for the show. This was going to be amazing and I was all bubbly inside, which was new for me.

Once we made sure we knew what songs to preform, Julie then went on to tell us that our tickets were paid for as well as hotel rooms. That was great otherwise I don't think we could go, unless I got Ray to book everything with Moms credit card that I still used on occasion. However that wasn't the case and I was just so happy that we were playing at an amazing venue.

I can't wait......
