You Had Me At "Stop Peeing On My Yard!"

Part 12

"Raina Marie Carson, will you do me the honor of marrying me?"

I looked down at my mate, he was on one knee. His light brown hair was just above his eyes and his eyes were so full of love; it made my heart melt.

"Yes."

"Yes?!" He stood up.

"Yes." I laughed, Tom took ahold of my hand, kisses each finger on my left hand then slides the engagement ring onto my finger. The thin golden band held a fairly good sized clear stone that was surrounded by smaller clear stones.

"Do you like it?" He whispers into my ear.

"No," His face fell. "I love it." Taking his face into my little hands, I bring his lips closer to mine and press a light kiss.

Tom growls, wraps his arms around my waist to pull me closer. Tom hungrily takes ahold of my lips and kisses me. He gently presses me against the wall and begins to kiss my neck, pressing light butterfly kisses down the length of it. I run my fingers through his hair. Tom nibbles on my neck and I giggle.

"I love you, Raina."

"I love you too, Tom."

Tom kisses my forehead and asks,"Don't you want to go tell your mom about your engagement?" He smiles against my cheek then places a soft kiss to it. I laugh and take his hand, we leave the room to go and look for my momma. She sat outside on the porch drinking a cup of tea, she looks thoughtful out into the woods.

"Momma."

"Yes, Hun?" She turns around, smiling.

"Tom and I are engaged."

"Oh! Baby! I'm so happy for you two!" She throws her arms around Tom and I for a big hug. "Let me see the ring." I bring my hand to her face.

"Tom, that's beautiful." She tells him in awe. I smile, feeling like things we're okay.

For now.

Tom and I stood at the enterance of his house.

"Are you sure you wanna tell Kerri now? After you've been gone?" He asks into our mind link. I nod still looking at the house where I spent a lot of my childhood in. Where Kerri and I would go swimming in the backyard or have sleepovers and spend all night giggling away or I used to come over here just because I could.

Tom lead me into his house, we stood at the enterance.

"Mom! Dad! Kerri! I'm home!" He yelled out into the house. Kerri came out from the kitchen with a sandwich in hand. She looked tired and worried.

"Tom where have you been? Mom and dad are looking for you and Raina with the rest of the pack." Her blue eyes rose to meet mine. I cocked my eyebrow at her.

"Is that a way to talk to my mate?" I questioned. Her mouth fell open at my words and she dropped her sandwich.

"Mate?" She gaped

"Well...more like mate/fiancé..."

Her mouth fell open again. Kerri turned towards her brother and pushed his chest.

"You're mates with my best friend?! What kind of big brother are you?!" She yelled, still pushing him. I stepped in front.

"Kerri, be nice." I crossed my arms and pretended to pout.

"But Raina! You're my best friend and he's my brother! That's not supposed to happen!" Kerri was freaking out, I held her shaking frame and smoothed her hair.

"It's okay,really. You won't believe how happy I am." I reassured her. She sniffed up at me then have Tom the death glare.

"Tommy, you should call mom and dad. Tell them to come here and re-meet their daughter-in-law."

Kerri stuck her tongue out at him and then we went upstairs to talk.

"What the heck Raina? My brother?"

I didn't meet her eyes.

"Got anything to say?"

"Your room looks messy." I stated.

She sighed.

Tom came into Kerri's room, picked me up and threw me over his shoulder the out the door towards his room across the hall. He tossed me on his bed, I landed with an "ophmp." Kerri ran out of her room to the door but Tom closed the door in her face. She snarled behind the closed door. Tom chuckled then laid next to me, pulling me close to him. I squirmed in his arms.

"Raina, I just want to hold you." So he did but soon fell asleep. I laid with him for about twenty minutes then I decided by his soft snores he was deep asleep. Crawling out of the bed and out the room, Kerri wasn't in the house. I decided to go to my house a few blocks away to change out of this oversized t-shirt and gym shorts.

Closing the front door behind me, I walked at a brisk pace down the neighborhood to my house. I felt like I was being followed but wasn't sure so I jogged trying to get home faster.

I felt a sharp pain on the side of my head then everything went black.

I awoke in what I think was a basement of some sort.

I was shackled by my right ankle to the wall.

'Just great' I thought.

"You can't run from me now, love." Those dark eyes peered at me from the shadows.

"Who are you? What do you want?"

The stranger chuckled and stepped out into the light shone by the lone naked bulb.

Sterling.

"Isn't quite obvious what I want? I want you, Raina."

"TOM! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" I tried our mind link and couldn't get anything. I dropped my head in

defeat; Tom couldn't hear me.

"Just you and me now darling." Sterling said before stepping forward menacingly with his teeth gleaming.
